I too agree Clark. Me, I started with an overpriced ego-like setup and kinda crappy juice from our bad B&M and went looking for more information. Found ECF, then stumbled on your thread and got a banner and piles of good juice and the rest is history. My boss ordered gear and juice from Halo, never got a feel for it, refused to join ECF and went back to smoking after a couple weeks. Personally throughout my first few months after quitting that quit banner, and everyone on the NT thread, kept me from even wanting one. Whenever I would get really crazy and think about running to the store for smokes I'd just vape harder and think, "I CAN'T smoke! It will make Clark cry!!!" That and I'd have to be honest and reset my banner...that really kept me on the straight and narrow!

The juice, NT and Clark himself, the family...they make a trinity of quitting! :thumb:

Proud of you #awesomesauce - you done good.

You just told my story Clark!!!

I got a bs ego style from a party store. Bs juice from same. I saw potemtial, but couldn't quit. After a month or so, decided to try the real thing, picked up a Vamo V2 (would have gotten the mvp if I knew better), and a naitilus along with some n-port and butterscotch from the local vape shop. Quit smoking the next day. Went on the search for good juice, found you within a couple days thanks to the enablers frequenting the newb parts of ECF, and have stayed quit due to the awesome sauce you produce and the support right here.

Stories like these - reason I enjoy getting up in the morning. #awesome

I usually turn my computer on around 10-10.30am here, and there's times, there you are after 4am your time, looking after the forum, replying to comments and queries (yes, it's usually the first place I come each morning!) ....that's greatly passionate!
Can't knock it - I'm often working until around that time in the small hours too .....because it's a good time to work and think about something you care about :)

I must have been very lucky then! Until late last January, I'd smoked for well over 45 years ..closer to 50 - and in the last 2-3 years, had got up to 35 or more cigarettes each day.
I just about changed my life outside of home because of the smoking restrictions. If I had to go somewhere that smoking would be difficult or impossible, I'd break out in a sweat and panic! ...what would I do! Easy - stay home! It felt like the obvious and right thing to do.

My first introduction to e-cigs was a disposable ordered on a whim with the grocery order! It was what stopped me smoking a lot of cigarettes though in the first two days I tried it, so I bought another two! Then, when it started to look like I really could perhaps cut my cigarettes by half a week later, I got a V2 starter kit & cartridges followed by the same from GreenSmokes. I stopped smoking completely at the end of January - just a few weeks after trying that first disposable.
The only reason I changed to larger batteries and tanks was when, thanks to the vast store of information from ECF, it became obvious after 6 weeks that I was pretty intolerant to PG, so had to change everything.
The very nature of VG, plus the PG in flavouring means I do get some congestion, and need to use some medication for it now and then, but it's worth it.

 the batteries and tanks got bigger! ...and so did my box of little bottles. Seemed like an endless quest for something really good. I did find some, but the chaps on the UK forum section told me about Nicoticket having some good ones, and despite the PG, I tried two from the UK seller. They were really good (Frenilla and CLS), but being only in a PG/VG mix there, made me wheeze and get a rash.
I ended up on the NT site and found some in Max VG! Great. Had a couple of queries, and Clark, you've been 100% helpful from the start - I've always appreciated that.

I then found this forum ...even better! Full of lovely welcoming people who will always help with problems and queries, and make me smile or laugh every day.

you've had unique journey - I think we shared the same "there's no way I am going to be able to quit" feeling when we first started... then, it happened. LOL

Yes!, and more or less while I 'wasn't looking'! Had no intention or expectation of stopping really at first. Still quite bemused by it.

I'd let myself down and everyone who has been helpful and kind ....so just can't smoke - I'd miss all of you for a start! Never had camaraderie like this when I smoked!
Plus of course, that counter banner is compelling - I like seeing things add up, not go down!

I have 5 tanks on batteries in a stand on my desk, and 4 of them have Nicoticket in them - the exception being some WTA in a cool menthol! I want to use some ACB/Wakonda too, so will need to find another empty tank!
Happy days!

I had no intention to quit at first either but it just happened and by the time I got a craving my banner was already in place and Clark said he would seriously cry if we smoked so I was committed.

Plus the detox from ciggies was so extremely horrible I never wanted to go through THAT again!!

It was my big secret for three weeks once I'd stopped completely - I didn't tell a soul. No way was someone going to be watching me like a hawk in case I fell over - if I failed, I'd be miserable, but wouldn't kick myself ..too hard!

I was so taken with the novelty of it all, and the fact no-one even noticed, I didn't actually want a cigarette - I had something infinitely more interesting!
After three weeks, my husband was on his high horse about me smoking (ex-smoker!) and said I really would have to stop. I just burst out laughing ...which made him even madder! I had to come clean then. At least he was lost for words.
Would I give anyone either the satisfaction of the disappointed looks, or the worry by issuing dire warnings? Not if I can help it!

Those banners are a clever thing for reinforcing determination!

Yes! Funny thing is, I felt quite well until I stopped! :glare: Definitely some very noticeable differences ...some really good, a few not that brilliant, but still worth it.

It's an odd journey, but I suspect one we'd not be making without e-cigs and something that tastes so good, we prefer it to cigarettes! I've been using H1N1 with CB, and can still taste it ...cigarettes just left a rather nasty taste, and I often ate a mint to freshen my mouth!
See - I don't eat those or chocolates now! Got Cookie instead ;)

How you feel about that strawnilla, I feel about my new frenilla! I guess I'll try strawnilla on my next order.
I got a 15ml as well, Beau said it was a little loyalty gift. Thanks Beau!
Nothing beats being recognized for being a faithful customer. I'll be sticking around for sure, but not for the freebies, for the best juice I've ever found!

They did the same thing to me. So sadistic. Seriously who would get someone hooked on the Virus just to run out almost immediately.
Really quite sinister if you ask me.
Thanks Beau.
I wonder if he is laughing maniacally as he puts those in.
First one is free.
Now I am addicted.
Please if you are going to mess with that stuff just order a couple 50ml bottles for overnight shipping.
You have been warned.

Thanks Beau for the 15ml of doodle! So I hear I have to let this one sit a little while?

No problem at all! :) You've done more than earn them!
