I've seen a couple posters refer to freezing their Nic base for long term storage. Does this keep it from decomposing? Should it be frozen in glass bottles and does it actually 'freeze' so that you need to leave room for expansion?

I'll be ordering 500 ml and thought I would freeze 3 bottles of 120 ml and keep the rest out for mixing. Does that sound like a good idea?

How long can I expect it to last, both in the freezer and out?

TIA!

Yes, freezing what you don't intend to use in the near future is a good idea. Nic/PG/VG don't expend when frozen, they contract.

From what I've read, you can expect about a year for nic stored at cool room temperatures, protected from sunlight.

There have have been reports of nic that was frozen being fine after 3 or 4 years without any problems. From what I read, it doesn't really go bad or spoil, it may eventually oxidize and lose potency.

There are lots of threads here on the subject with more detail, or maybe some of the real experts will chime in.

So PG and VG can go in the freezer too, to increase longevity? I'll need more bottles! I ordered both by the quart.

Thanks!
