I don't transfer my flavorings or current nic base I'm using into glass bottles, some of which I have had for several months. I keelp everything in a dark cool place. I have noticed no plasticky flavors or problems. Is it really necessary to freeze nic in glass bottles? Has anyone ever frozen their nic in plastic? I'll get the glass bottles if I have to.

There was a company that did a test to see how much nic would degrade under various circumstances. The general consensus was that it degrades very little over the 3 or so months they tested it. I store long term in glass in the freezer, but that is over a liter of 100 mg/ml. I have over a half liter that isn't in the freezer though, so will take a long time until I use the stuff in cold storage.

I guess I just feel more comfortable keeping the long term nic in the bottles and freezer since it may well be over a year until I use it.

I use the glass bottles from old Twinlab vitamins that I have saved for long term storage in freezer and for the stuff I use currently They are dark amber glass. I also keep my current nic in the fridge so the dark glass helps with the light in the fridge. I just do what I feel comfortable doing and so should you. My very first bottle I bought was left in the plastic and at room temperature. I prefer it this way as I never see any aging like I did with the first bottle.

All my nic is stored in amber glass bottles. It's theoretically possible that chemicals from plastic will leach into the nic or PG over time. Glass avoids that and makes me more comfortable. The amber helps keep light away from it, which seems to help with it not discoloring.

Longer-term storage is in the freezer. I keep my currently active bottle in the fridge. The current mixed DIY stuff I'm using is kept in my office, at room temperature, again in amber glass. The current mix usually has a lifespan of less than 2 months before it gets used, so that doesn't bother me.
