I'm sure this has been asked but I can't remember where I saw it.

My NN nic came in yesterday and I am going to be putting it in 30ml amber glass bottles and freezing it. Do I fill the bottles all the way up, or leave a small gap for expansion?

Also, when I take a bottle out of the freezer to use, how long is that bottle good for if I store it in the cabinet? Or should I stick it back in the freezer.

PG/VG liquid nic doesn't freeze so expansion/contraction isn't a real concern. Less head space is better for "long term" storage, just don't overfill cause you don't want a spill/mess. Once taken out of the freezer, liquid nic stored in a cool dark place can remain viable for over a year. As it oxidizes liquid nic turns shades of yellow and will acquire a nutty popcorn aroma but even so it still retains a high percentage of the original nic content. I try to maintain a three month supply at room temperature, the rest is kept in the freezer.

Expansion? Water is unique in that it expands when frozen. Your nicotine, PG, and VG won't even freeze in a freezer anyway, but they will contract.

I keep a 120ml bottle of nicotine for mixing. It can go a month, easy, before it starts taking on a different color.

Since I measure by volume, I make sure everything is room temp before I start. It's amazing how much PG or VG, with nicotine in it, will expand as it warms up.

It is about 1% for VG (from freezer to room temperature).

I also store mine in 30ml amber glass bottles. For the supply I'm currently using out of, I just keep it in the fridge, mainly to keep it in the dark as much as possible. I never make much at once, 60ml is the biggest I've mixed at one time, so I measure it via syringe, so I doubt if the temperature is a big concern.

Yep, I leave a couple of mls short of filling the bottle up to give it room when I take it out of the freezer. Great question.
