Here is my effort to assist new members (or anyone, really) that would like to know just who "vendor X" is without having to hunt through the suppliers list trying to guess at it, or otherwise searching the web just to determine what someone might be talking about. Note that usage of abbreviations varies by context or even just personal preference, but hopefully this will point you in the right direction most of the time.
If you are new, or just didn't already notice, hovering (pointing without clicking) your mouse over the lightly-underlined abbreviations (such as TH [for "throat hit"]) will show you the most frequently used word/phrase for that abbreviation. This doesn't exist for many vendor abbreviations commonly used here, so, here is a cheat sheet for that instead.
Frequently Used Supplier Abbreviations List:
AVE - Alien Visions E-Juice
BWB - Backwoods Brew
Cisco - Ok, not an abbreviation, but it is a specific line of atomizers frequently mentioned alone as though you should just know what they are. To my knowledge these can now ONLY be obtained at Avid Vaper
COV - Clouds of Vapor
DK - Dekang - I don't know the "official" site (I believe www.yndekang.com and they are on Alibaba [global trade site]). Dekang e-juice is available at MANY places anyway. You may already have a Dekang juice and not know it - check the bottle for "YNDK" impressioned lightly on the cap.
FA - FlavourArt or the The Flavor Apprentice (see TPA)
FSUSA - FreedomSmokeUSA
GLV - Great Lakes Vapor
GV - Gourmet Vapor
IKV - IkenVape
JC - Johnson Creek
JJ - Joogler Juice
KBV - Kick Bass Vapor
Ms.T - Ms T's Bakery
MV - MadVapes
PA - See TPA
TPA (PA/TFA/FA) - The Perfumers Apprentice. A division of The Perfumers Apprentice is named The Flavor Apprentice.
TW - Totally Wicked. (Also used for Taiwan)
TV - Tasty Vapor of for MadVapes' Top Vapor line
VB - Vapor Bomb
V4L - Vapor4Life
VV - This one can be especially tricky. This most often refers to "variable voltage" but there are also a number of vendors name's which match: ValueVapor, Valley Vapor, Velvet Vapors, Viking Vapor
W2V - Want2Vape
Personally, I think it is always best to try to stick to the "standard" thing, by including the vendor name - spelled out - at least the very first time it is used in the thread. Immediately following that, in parenthesis, include the abbreviation that will be used for all subsequent mentions of that vendor (or any term).
This list is made up of abbreviations which I have noticed and others that have been contributed to the thread. Please do not just suggest abbreviations - instead, only mention those you've noticed are already commonly used.
Happy vaping!
