Freshly squeezed lemon juice

Several questions:

Dear, dear Hubby just came home with 3 fresh lemons for me. He wants to squeeze them and starin the juice for me. Can freshly squeezed lemon juice be used instead of concentrated lemon juice that has been discussed? Or even lime juice?

I have noticed that all of the lemon juice available, even in the little plastic lemons, contain lemon oil. Is lemon oil a natural part of lemon or lime juice?

Should I just get citric acid and cut it down?

I have not tried any yet, but, since I vape mainly fruity e juice, I am definitely interested in trying this.

I have been reading the vinegar thread since it started, and I could't recall any mention of fresh lemon juice, only the juice in the plastic lemon. I will look through the thread again later tonight if no one remembers.

I thought it was there. There was something about the acid level of fresh lemons varying a lot. I could have read it elsewhere, not sure but it did make a lot of sense that it would vary.

Even though lemons are sour they still contain quite a bit of natural sugars. That might clog your atty pretty quick, but still a cheap experiment. All the lemon flavored juices I've tried have tasted like Lemon Pledge. It would be nice to find a natural tasting lemon flavor, so let us know how it goes.

I think the oil in lemons is in the peel and not in the juice. The sugars clogging or caramelizing sounds
like it could be an issue.

I read that the ph of lemons can vary quite a bit...I would assume due to ripeness, etc. I suppose if you don't get the result you want you could always add more. As far as lime, this might help pH level of Foods

I just did a quick google search...I have no idea how accurate this site is.

Since you would only be using a few drops I doubt the sugars would be a problem for your atty. It's not like you'd be using it at a 10% flavoring level. How effective it will be is another issue.

I would give it a try. I don't see a problem with doing it.

The only problem you might encounter is with repeatability. The sweetness and sourness varies between each lemon.

I would imagine you could use any type of citrus juice, so you might want to try them all!
