Well, I'm excited because one week from tonight I will be home at this time, looking straight in the face of 16 days without having to punch the time clock!
I'm counting down the days.
One week from a two week vacation. 10 work days and 3 weekends. Yeee Hawww!
10 of those 16 days will be spent in the Smoky Mountains. From the 16th through the 19th I'll be joining a smart fortwo gathering at the Tail of the Dragon on the southern Tennessee/North Carolina state line. There are presently 64 cars and their passengers registered, great time at last year's event.

After the Dragon, I'm planning to spend 3 or 4 days as a sightseeing tourist in the region. Do a little driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway, Smoky Mountain National Park. I fully intend to spend time wasting time, not thinking about the job. Enjoying not the daily rut.
The only thing which would make it even better, perfect, would be a lady friend as a travel partner. Such is not the case, but I went alone last year and had a blast!
