Hi,
You already dealt with Rob and Michelle at Vapor Kings, so that can be your source! I live in Tulsa and zip over to their shop in Sand Springs all the time. They do have all the ego batteries and atomizers and carts that you need. I personally have a couple of regular batteries (650mAh) in different colors (they have black, stainless steel, and pink) and one large one (1000mAh). I use the tank cartridges, so I get the cone atties. I also have to quit smoking sooner rather than later, have MS, so don't need to make myself even weaker! I started a few months ago with a little m401 pv that I bought at an Indian smoke shop, but found out quickly that they didn't have a clue about vaping. They told me that a five pack of filled carts was the equivalent of smoking a carton, and charged accordingly. They carry no empty carts, no extra batteries, and don't know anything about e liquids, dripping, dipping, how to clean an atty, proper inhalation technique, and the million other things that I needed to know to do this vaping thing successfully. I kind of messed around with my little mini for a while (it's actually got a good throat hit and good vapor, when everything is going JUST RIGHT), and started diving into the world of vaping. I educated myself relentlessly, watched numerous You Tube videos, and lurked around all the forums and checked out as many vendor sites as I could handle.
When the tank system came out in the ego, the tornado, and the riva, I believe, I realized that that was exactly what I needed to help me quit smoking. I was a fairly heavy smoker, and one of those "nervous" types. I think I have some kind of oral fixation! I need an e cig that can handle almost constant vaping. I ordered the Tornado Tank through Totally Wicked, the prices are pretty good, I think. The tornado is the same as the ego, they are interchangeable. I buy replacement parts here at Vapor Kings, saves on shipping! The tank atties are also $2 cheaper than TW. It's also great to be able to grab a juice when I let myself run low, or I just want to hang out with other vapers for a while and "talk shop" and get more answers and tips. One thing I do now is use a low resistance (LR) cartomizer with the ego battery. Jeff showed me how to use a drip tip to refill the carto and as a mouthpiece on top of the carto. It can get really hot, so the tip is a must-have for me. I was warned though that the LRs can kill ego batteries, so I only use the same one just in case. The carto gives an amazingly strong hit right to the back of my throat, and the vapor is enormous. Sometimes it's too much, and then I use my tank. The tank is excellent, just the right amount of everything I look for in a pv. The bottom line for me is that now I have something workable that can replace cigarettes for me. In 3 weeks I have reduced my analogs from 2 packs a day to less than 1, sometimes just a half. I am so stunned by this that I'm afraid to talk too much about it, don't want to jinx it!
So, very long story short, Vapor Kings in Sand Springs is the only OK vendor I know of. From my own experience, they have good hardware prices, the juices are a bit steep, but they are very personable and helpful. They will stay with you and show you what you need until you are satisfied. It's also nice to see a physical display of all the products instead of just pictures on the web.
I have been asking here on our Okie Place whether anyone is interested in meeting somewhere comfy to vape, have a drink or coffee, just to chill. I'm very interested in doing this and wonder if anyone has a suggestion. I think it would be great. I know of a few coffee houses where one can even hear poetry! TG
