From the article:

A spokeswoman from the [Bermuda] Ministry of Health yesterday said under current legislation nicotine is listed as a schedule three drug.

“As such, requires a prescription to obtain it unless it’s in the form of its ‘natural substance, ie tobacco,” she said. “This is the Government’s current policy, which adheres to the Pharmacy and Poisons Act...."

When mailing e-cigs and supplies ...
When your mailing them and the postal agent asks what in the package ...
Do NOT say Electronic cigarettes or e-juice or nicotine juice !!!
Just say "electronics"
I broke down twice and ordered from an over seas supplier. Both packages omitted the words e-cigs.

If you read through the comments it appears that he is getting his package released from customs.
It also appears that in Bermuda you need a prescription from your doctor to be able to import nicotine juice for personal use.

I am the 'Shocked Smoker'.
Yesterday afternoon I received an update from the health department.
It seems the devices themselves should not be seized by customs, and are legal.
( A short time before that, I got a call from MailBoxes to tell me that my package had been released.)
The issue is that nicotine is a prescribable drug.
The procedure is for me to get a prescription from my doctor, for no more than 3 months supply, take it to the health department.
They will then issue me an import permit, to be presented to customs.
The gentleman that I spoke to actually seemed quite supportive, going so far as to say that, if my doctor would not give me a prescription, FIND ONE THAT WILL!
While the outcome is not as good as I would like, it is not as bad as it could have been.

These 'risk reduction' devices are saving the lives of thousands, millions? of people all around the world, yet many countries are trying to restrict, or outright ban them.
While not smoking at all is best, many of us actually enjoy smoking, and the ability to do so, while no longer harming ourselves or those around us, should NOT be regulated away
