I have been at this about 8 weeks, mostly have it down to 2flavors that I alternate between. Both menthol -would love to switch it up and like something other than menthol. Not happening yet. Upped my nic and have 9 batteries. Always have something charged. It's a b...th to quit smoking. But you have got to remember the feeling of satisfaction for what you have accomplished. vaping is a great alternative -u can even vape in the grocery store (what's better than that). It may be a little inconvenient at times, but a lot less inconvenient than smokes

yeah, I didn't get that memo either, lol. I have "bad vaping days" too, as Keyzy put it. Then I think about how AMAZINGGGG it is that I don't smoke anymore, and that makes it all worth it :)

I guess I'm such a tightwad that I probably did a fair bit of research prior to buying my gear (mostly YouTube) so cleaning and filling were not such a big shock. The only real big ole stinking pile of B/s was the prevailing myth that 1 carto = 1 pack of analogs. Yeah, maybe if you smoke three puffs and toss your analog out. Sure some providers say 1 carto = x puffs, who the hell knows how many puffs are in a pack?

That little lie nearly had me back on analogs because I miscalculated the amount of supplies I would need a was between paychecks. My juice and blanks literally arrived when I was on my last carto and was probably vaping to excess because I was stressed about possibly running out (vicious cycle).

And the powers that be still want to convince everyone that kids will be attracted to all this nonsense we go through to vape, sure thing!

It does sometimes get really old having so much to do but it seems the more battery power we have the easier it is to stay on track. There is nothing worse for me than a bunch of batteries that quit on me while driving, had that happen a couple times and broke out the analogs. I think I have enough now to keep that problem in check.

Knowing that this works though is great. Vaping is so close to having your cake and eating it too.

The difficulty in doing a thing isn't really going to stop people from doing it or more importantly trying it before they know it is difficult. If anything kids spend a lot of time practicing to do things that almost no adult would bother to even attempt. You know how many hours I spent learning how to breakdance when I was 12? Kids will invest hours in crazy stuff like foreplay and dry humping. Adults have no time for these things.

And the powers that be still want to convince everyone that kids will be attracted to all this nonsense we go through to vape, sure thing!

I always have 2 batts going and 2 batts charging. Every morning I take the 2 off the charger and switch out with the 2 I was vaping on in the evening. When I get home, I switch them out again and vape away all night. I never let my batts run down all the way that way and works well for me. Before I leave for work, I top off the cartos and give them a spin and good to go. When I get home, I do the same. I love vaping more then I loved cigs. They taste so much better, don't leave me smelling like an ashtray, and I genuinely FEEL so much better since giving up the smokes. I will never go back.

Are the a bit of fussing? I suppose so, but when you consider all the benefits...

Not to mention constantly cleaning up nasty smelly ash trays, running to the store to get cigs, looking for your lighter before giving up and lighting it on the stove and burning your eye lashes, washing your hair every night so it doesn't stink, putting on lotion or perfume to try and hide the smell, etc... etc... etc...

Maybe you can simplify your vaping method a bit? I don't know, to me it just is so much better! Good luck!

Logrus,

Very well put and so true! I still sometimes waste a lot of time on accomplishing nothing or very little trying to be good at something.
In the long run though, I think some things can get boring fast and then it's only the desire to win that keeps us going. For us vapers it's winning the battle against stinky analogs.
Many times the ease of smoking and equipment failure has just about thrown me off track.
I know I feel better now and certainly smell better and it matters. I also know I am no longer poisening my family and that matters too.
I suppose that for now, most of us are trying to be good at quitting analogs and staying quit.

Yeah, that really ticks me off. :-x Oh education is the best thing & make it illegal for minors. That's why we have more teens picking up smoking everyday. Gee should my kid sneak a nasty cigarette or one of my 0 nic cartos?

...........

If you do a lot of driving get a PT and a Car Adapter and vape away at 5v whilst saving your batteries! I love to drive and vape away!

I get tired of it all too sometimes but then I remember just how inconvenient it was to smoke, not to mention how much planning was involved in smoking. No more midnight runs for cigarettes, no more dreading airports/flights, no worries about booking hotel rooms and finding on arrival that they have no smoking room for you, no more stinking like cigarettes, etc. I sometimes have to remind myself that I used to spend a LOT of time focusing on my smoking habit but I was so used to it that I didn't realize it till after I quit. In many ways, I'm free now.

Vaping does require some planning and work but really no more than smoking did; it's just different planning and work. I do wish that V4L would roll out a more powerful battery line and maybe a bigger/higher capacity carto. I guess I'm getting impatient because it's been a while since they've come out with anything new and exciting.

If you are going to compare it to a relationship, then you have to put something into it to get something out of it-all the time. From a man's perspective, the analog is like the 30 year marriage where she becomes fat and ugly, runs around in a houscoat, and greets you at night with her hair still in curlers. My guess for the ladies is that he comes home, goes straight for the fridge, gets a beer, and plops himself in front of the TV all night. You tolerate each other, but the relationship has become a

HABIT!

The e cig needs a lot of care and maintenece, but will always surprise you with a new discovery, a new flavor. Best part is that you don't need to feel guilty.

And you are with the hottest lady (man, or whatever) on the block.

I'm sure that we've all been there. We've dated a person thinking early on that "this could be the one". But as time goes on, those adorable little idiosyncrasies of our new found "love" turn out to be quite annoying. That combined with other discoveries about our new "love" soon leave us wanting and wondering if the pain of continuing is truly worth the gain of a long-term relationship.

Well, that's where I'm now at with vaping my fellow V4L family members. Don't get me wrong as I'm thrilled that I've gone seven weeks without an analog, however, I must admit that I'm getting a little annoyed with vaping. Early on in my vaping dating, I loved playing with my new equipment and experimenting with flavors. But now that I'm settling in to a long-term relationship, these very things are starting to annoy me. I'm getting a little tired of constantly recharging batteries, searching for flavors, and then searching for even more flavors as I get tired of the old ones. And so on and so on - you get my drift.

Has anyone else gone through this phase or is it just me? Inquiring mind(s) want to know.

Yes indeed. I went through that very same thing. I can't remember when exactly it happened. As I've just passed my one year vaping mark. But happen it did. I remember getting frustrated with the figits. The juice all tasted blah. And I reverted back to smoking more and vaping less. I hadn't fully quit at that time.
I did think long and hard about it. I started buying and sampling more flavors and trying new pv setups. It didn't take too long before I found my favorite pv and then my all day vape.
It's worth hanging in there. Best of luck to you. I hope you get over the hump. :)

Exactly, it's a nice place to start and a good first date than once you get out there in the field a bit you find the one when its least expected.!!!

I have been married several times..but I finally found one that puts up with me. Yeah he has strange habits that drive me nuts..but on the other hand..I never make coffee in the morning..He has it ready before my eyes open. He has a good dinner made for him every evening. Marriage is a mutual give and take.
There are trade offs with everything in life. I will take messing with refilling charging and cleaning over smoking with all the mess and smell..not to mention running the risk of being ill.
Hang in there..we are here.

Thanks all for your input as I have read through the entire thread (twice). I also spent some time reflecting on my life as a smoker and the dramatic improvement in health since quitting. Ok, so I guess the initial infatuation phase with vaping is over and it's time to settle in with it for the long haul - warts and all. There really is no other choice is there? Smoking is out and gum and patches don't work, at least for me. So there it is.

One thing for sure, the advice and support a person gets here is priceless. Thanks to everyone for helping with this little, and hopefully temporary, struggle.

Vape on.

Tracker,
You have been vaping longer than I, so I dont know if my experience will help. However I am still as excited to vape today as I was in day 1. To address the battery issue I have 6 batteries, my wife has 5. I have a passthru in both our cars, and 1 at my pc. I have 2 wall chargers and 2 usb chargers. I have not got tired of flavors yet but I have purchased 16, I change flavors regularly. My Wife on the other hand does not she has found a flvor she likes and thats all she vapes. I know the investment seems large, but only untill you compare it to analogs. I cant stop thinking of all the positive's of vaping, to date I have not once thought of any negative side of it. Try to stay positive, focus on all the good that has come from vaping, make sure you have the tools to get the job done, and maby you wont think about the negative. I hope this helps, good luck.

idk, im new to it but i like it more than smokin cigarettes. its funner and the health factor makes me feel better about not smokin stoges. i pretty much like all the tobacco flavors, and a lot of the fruit flavors, so i dont see boredom ever setting in. even if all i had was 555 id still prefer vapin to smokin now.
\\
edit: i forgot to ask cuz i saaw this in a post.....you have to clean the batteries?????? how?

Tide on the gentle cycle...JK! :) All I do is dip the threaded ends up to the top thread in a capful of alcohol and hold it there for a bit..then wipe the threads with a soft rag..getting into the groves. If you have a small brush you can dip it in alcohol and give the grove a pass. That's about all you can do..get the liquid that has dried on..well off!
