Tracker II sir, I thought for a while on this (been following this thread from behind the bushes), and in a lot of ways you're right, it is a marrige. As the great Ms. MK put it, marriages are give and take. I know I put my wife through hell (and trust me, she gives it back), but at the end of the day the it's worth it because the good far outweighs the bad. That's my relationship with vaping. Yes I have to carry my fix kit with me everywhere I go (a sony camera bag with 4 batts, a random amount of cartos, two bottles of liquid, list goes on), and I have to stop to refill multiple times, etc. But I can also vape anywhere (to an extent), I smell better, I breath better, my wife is happier, in other words the positives far outweigh the negatives.

Analogs are like being in an abusive relationship. You love the person, but every time you do something to get them mad, you get a beat down. You love them though, and they promise things will be better, and they won't hit you again, only in a few weeks to get beaten again. With smoking you can't do it everywhere, they're expensive, they make you smell bad, take away your sense of sell and taste, destroy every cell in your body, have many proven long term effects, do I need to keep going? All this just so you can get your nicotine fix... It beats you, but you love them so your forgive their abuse.

Personally, I'll stick with vaping. Much healthier relationship....

Morandir- As usual I totally agree :)

My 'relationship' with vaping is becoming easier now though. I have 6 batteries, always have two flavors on two different batteries going, plenty of choices for flavor, and willing to put in the time and effort of finding what works. My own relationship is the same though. I get sick of having him gone a lot, but the time we have together and the love we have is worth every minute I have to go without him.
I did think of smoking as an abusive relationship...I had/have the same with food(however, I have to work hard for that one since I can't quit eating  ) I loved the action of smoking more than anything else and now I can keep the good stuff and threw away the bad.
I do wiish you luck on your journey...as that is what it is. You are not getting there overnight and only you can decide if you are really worth the trouble. This is a much healthier option and not one thing anyone can tell you is going to make you like it more. The question is : Are you ready to give up for something that could cost you your life?

I adored smoking Ms. Eleanor. Never really wanted to quit... One day I came to the realization that it was starting to catch up with me. Instead of feeling satisfied after a cig, I felt drained... On one hand I was getting the nicotine I craved, on the other my throat hurt, lungs burned, etc. The new fire safe cigs and I did not get along... That was my tipping point...

Funny you should mention the FSC's Morandir. Those were pretty much the tipping point for me too. I swear there is something put in them intentionally to get folks to to quit. Can't say I understand it tho...even Phillip Morris endorsed them. Makes no sense to me....and I found them to be a BIGGER fire hazard because of the way the fire would tunnel and then fall off. For the better part of a year I was travelingg out of state to get non-FSC's and then that state switched too.

Then I found V4L...the rest is history!!!

I agree that the FSC gets u more addicted and it got me smoking more. I learned quickly that if you weren't constantly dragging on it, you had to re light it. Speed smoking didn't really cover the craving, so light up again. The smell also got so that it had permanently permiated my skin. Seemed like I always stunk. Not a good feeling, I guess that is what got me started checking out other options
