Aw, shucks...
I dont even have a Reo yet... lol!

Delilah, It took me awhile to figure out my feelings and a adequate response to your thread.
You nailed it when you said that this forum and the REO family are a unique group of people.
I came to the REO forum at a time in my life when the bottom was dropping out. My Mom's health was declining and I was not there with her. It was such a help to me when our REO family sent PM's and prayers of support.
After her death I was numb. I posted what had happened. If I would have been thinking clear I probably would have just left for awhile. But the outpouring of love I received was what helped me through.
Reoville will never understand my condition and my needs at that time. I was beyond grief.
I say all this to let everyone know that the bond I have here was made by your support and love through a very tough time.
I will never forget, and I will never walk away from someone that reaches out for help.
This forum and the REO family literally saved my life.

Thanks for starting this post D. I believe God puts people together when they need each other most. All religions state this so it's almost Jungian. The zen folk say when the student is ready, the master appears and all that, so we are all related so to speak.
I'm glad I quit smoking but the people on this form helped it to happen. and more specifically, people like you and others on this thread.

Seems to me like smokers were welcome with other smokers.
Vapers are welcome with other vapers.
But we are both still shunned by non-smokers. Even though vaping is so much better the average person hears "electronic cigarette" and thinks they are one and the same.

I am new to Reo forum too and I can't agree with you more, Delilah. This whole forum is wonderful. Everyone has been so helpful to me. I have quit smoking now for a year and never, ever thought I could. I was lucky as I found something that worked for me in that year but it was time to move up to a Reo. I am so glad I have the opportunity to express my gratitude too! As far as the stigma of smoking, vaping may still suffer from it but at least I don't reek of smoke anymore not to mention how much better I feel.
Hi Rick!Welcome!
I've actually not had too many negative responses to my vaping, but then, I also don't really pay attention to how folks are reacting around me. I'm careful to follow rules and not vape in folk's faces so, so far so good. I do it as much as possible in public to get attention without pushing it on anyone mostly because I would like people to see it and get used to it. Most who ask me about it find it intriguing and all of them are supportive of the alternative to smoking. especially those who know me....they've noticed better skin, healthier hair, nevermind the lack of that odor that no one ever said anything about.
congratulations on your 2 months!!! I never thought I'd see it either and its been 9 months for me.![]()
I found you guys!!!
Hellooooooooo and thank you oh so very much!!!
I haven't met Karen yet but, I have talked to that sweetheart Gil on the phone a number of times already. A very helpful and great guy. Happy Birthday, Gil!!!
Delila and I have chatted thru PMs pretty regularly lately and, she too, is a wonderful person. I love her to death. She too, has been very helpful and supportive with this conversion to vaping.
I understand Lenny was the original maker of this box mod and I must say, WOW, what a contraption. Talk about vaping... Is there really anything better then a bottom feeder???
Maybe a one gallon gravity feed 12 volt fuel injected system might top it... LOLOL
I just can't thank you guys enough for helping this old man kick the tobacco habit. I'm now going on 2 months of a tobacco free life.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
(You've all really help save my life...)
There really is a few good people left on this planet, still...
Love & kisses to you all,
I can't agree more. Although you didn't mention your 'smeller' or your tastes buds. After a year, you've probably taken those for granted again but, let me say this, mine are back and working again. LOLOL
Enjoy!
Oh gosh... the smeller and taste buds. That is something I haven't really noticed, perhaps you are right it has been too long now. But I do know my breathing is much better and my fast heart rate (tachycardia) has improved tremendously!
I am so happy for you to be off the cigarettes for two months, I think you are well on your way! I had a dream about a month ago that I had to resort to smoking. In my dream, I kept saying "but I don't want to, I don't want to!" hahahaha! how is that for a nonsmoker now? ;-)
LMAO I had a very similar dream!!! I was tied up and being forced to smoke. LOLOLOL
My nightmare is smoking and enjoying it.![]()
