Marykay..my thyroid levels, with no meds at all for several years, still bounce around the same as ever since I've been body building..I don't feel any better, or any worse, from it either. All my life I've had extremely LOW blood pressure, as well as low body temp which continues to drop, so I'm odd to start with. The only thing being in shape really has helped feel better is my mind..I've got some pride..and nothing knocks the wind out of me now, I can push a bike uphill until my bad leg makes me stop! Interestingly, I could do that while I was smoking a pack a day of analogues, too. I'm strange body chemistry-wise, so you can't really use me for advise!!

LOL! Told you so! P.G. is a product that helps to keep things smooth and helps things not to harden up. Have you ever had hand made ice cream..eat it fast or lose it to ice crystals, hardening and break down. It keeps the toothpaste smooth too and easy to come out of the tube. Keeps radiator fluid from getting gunky and frozen. It is NOT the stuff that does the work..it is the stuff that helps that stuff do it's work.

When you exercise you drive up your homone levels that helps your body fire up those muscles. You don't think your muscles would lift those weights on purpose do you? Or run that extra mile? Heck no! Muscles are lazy..they only want to do what they have to..like me. But when they get that kick in the pants from hormones they work harder and better. Hormones are like an energy drink.

When you have problems with your Thyroid, female system or diabetes or any other hormonal problem, it affects your thyroid gland (the gland that regulates ALL hormones).
Exercise therefore affects the thyroid. Replacement therapy like synthroid or homones or diabetes meds are thrown off for a short while after exercise. That is why diabetics who do any exercise must check for spikes in sugar or extreme lows in sugar. The meds have a hard time keeping up with the demands.

yes Sue you are weird..but in an amazingly good way! maybe the training has compensated for the hormone swings..if so you are on to something great!

I hope that explains it. I could have found a lot of Doctor speak..but that's the english version.

I meant to add that your bodies electrical system has a lot to do with muscle energy too..not as clear on that as I haven't had a problem I needed to research. But Sue is living proof that it is as at least as important as hormones.

OK, so I'm absolutely miserable tonite. On top of this thyroid madness we've been talking about, I've had a sore throat/earache/sinus pressure thing going three days now..and I had to spend a few hours mowing lawn today, it's still raining here every other day and it's getting hard to keep up with. Hard work(don't mind) in hot sun(do mind-pale British skin!) and I've been a run down mess..should sleep..nope. Sinuses pounding -keeping me up!

So...

I'm gonna try something tonite. Got some nicotine patches..the VA was throwing them at my ex boxes at a time, even mailing them here unrequested..and I had grabbed a few. Slapped one on, mixed up a couple of no nic liquids with vg (altho my capella flavors are pg based..thought I'd see if the base was affecting me, stick with vg first, but that ain't gonna happen right away, I guess!) and I'll see how I feel. Don't want to drag on like this..haven't felt right for weeks. Now I need to perfect my 0 nic juice mixing skillz...imput welcome!!!

Sue, I am so sorry you are having such a hard way to go with this. One thing I have to say is please, PLEASE don't smoke a real cig or vape anything with nicotine in it while you wear the patch. I personally know 2 people that had heart attacks while wearing the patch and smoking.

Have you tried anything like Claritin for your sinuses? I know right now my allergies are killing me and that is the only thing has helped.

I have a friend that swears by the neti pot.

neti pot - Google Search

Personally, I would rather suffer with my sinuses than use that darn contraption but maybe it is something you might be interested in.

I hope you get to feeling better soon!

Jules- Thanks for the concern!! no worries, I have no interest at all in analogs, and I want to decrease my nic, not double whammy patch and juice..I just feel as tho I'm getting more nic vaping than I thought, give this a try and find out. And I've never in my life had any sinus pain like this, new to me and I don't have meds for it..they knock me on my .... often anyway, I "operate heavy machinery" for a living, so just as well. With all this never-ending rain a lot of people around here getting sick from molds in new and interesting ways..could just be that...
