vaping about a week, to date, now. Started off with the ego c twist with CE4 clearo. No problems at all with that. Then I ordered and received these Kanger T2 Clearomizer - Clear - 2.2ohm - LONG wick and these Kanger T2 Innard - 5 Pack - 2.2-2.4ohms - LONG wick and have had nothing but problems with those.

First time was my error, too much percentage of VG (about 97%) which I then tried to fix and over-diluted. Flooded it. Rinsed it, dried it, started over the next day with a new head. I put different juice in it, a 50/50 mix, and it flooded again. After taking the suggestions I got in this thread, http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/469750-rough-couple-days.html I still could not seem to fix the problem. So I again, dumped it and cleaned it.

I haven't tried anything with the Kangers today, as I am fearful to waste more juice. I see many posts about dry burning after cleaning, and wondering if that is necessary right now because it was flooded so much. I worry that I will ruin something by dry burning, as i see some posts that say not to do that at all. And I haven't found a good video that shows me how.

I am wondering if anyone else has had problems with these. The only thing I can find on this subject, are reviews from people that had the older style with the short wicks.

Not sure what I am even asking for at this point, I was already given suggested in the thread I linked to above, maybe just venting. I don't know

Flooding is normally caused by either pouring liquid down the center tube when filling, or over filling. When you fill, do not fill up to the part where the wicks go into the center.Technically it should be OK, but flooding is then possible.

You don't have to dump the liquid down the drain just because you need to empty the device. You can tip it into a bottle or syringe it out for use again later. Only if you've messed it up or otherwise contaminated the liquid do you need to throw the liquid away.

Normally, if the head is flooded you can blow the excess out, wipe it off, and vape away. If it floods immediately again then there is something very wrong, like the head is not screwed in properly, or there is a seal missing etc.

When blowing out a top coil device like this I recommend that you keep it upright and blow the liquid out the bottom. Make sure you wipe it clean before screwing it on your battery.

At the moment it's sounding like you may have a faulty clearo, because looking at the other thread you've already had most of this advice (except someone said to turn it upside down when you blew it out).

Also from over tightening. Seems to me not everyone knows that you are not supposed to screw any kind of tank down until it is tight. You want to screw it in enough to make connection but not all the way. When you tighten them too much it can make your tank leak and also push the pin in your battery down causing difficulties with the battery! Hope you figure it out.

I'd suggest to get more C4's if they're working for you. Use them as your good vape while you experiment with other things.

Just hang in there! If you can vape a C4 well, you'll be fine with other clearos.

There is also the option of attys and fillered cartos also.

The main trick with Kanger coil heads is to allow enough time for the flavor wicks to saturate with juice before that first vape. minimum of 15 minutes is what I did when Using a Protank. If you don't, usually you toast your wick, reducing wicking potential, and often flooding. plus shortening the life expectancy of your coil head. Once I started allowing the wicks to saturate, I could vape my PT down to the last drop and get 2-3 weeks of a single coil head before replacing or rebuilding was required. Also rinsing out the tank with warm/hot water, every other fill, helps maintain taste and life of the coil head. I went through 4 or 5 coil heads before I figured this trick out. Don't go trying to remove the top flavor wick trick, that just makes it really flood.

The Kanger T2 is not the only clearo on the planet. IMO ... they had problems ... that's why there is a T3, Pro Tank, and all the rest.

Personally I don't care for clearos, and use atomizers & cartomizers instead. My point being that there is a shoe for every foot out there, so have no fear ... there is one that fits your foot too.

The T2 is a top coil clearomizer. These tanks do not leak unless you get liquid down the center shaft.

How are you filling it?

You should be dripping the liquid down the side, not down the middle. Also, do not fill the tank to the top line. Stop adding liquid at about the 2.0ml line.

When you got to fill the clearo press the juice bottle tip to the side wall and let the juice run down the side of clearo, or use a syringe. You can get a syringe at any drug store/pharmacy cheaper than online, just be careful as it will have a pointed tip like diabetics use, try and get the biggest gauge of needle they have. They are normally cheap too like $0.25.

I got frustrated with the top wicks, sometimes they did great for me, other times I was pulling out my hair!!! I finally went for Kanger ProTank 2. I just happen to go through this vendor for these because they were running a sale I've gotten some of my gear from them now and then, good peeps. The 1.8ohm was a problem (you name it, it happened), chucked it, the 2.2ohm coil has been problem free. It's a bottom coil/wick and simple to put together and take apart for cleaning. I don't have issues with flooding, gurgle, all that yucky stuff. It fills from the bottom and the part are all replaceable, though I haven't found a vendor yet that has ALL the parts. I've got 4 of them now, kind of a hoarder when I find something that works for me!

Update:

Put the clearo back together, pulled the silicone on the head down a bit. For the most part, its fine. Much better than before. Thank you everyone!

Yes it is! Still not sure that I'm happy with these clearos. When the new juice comes on Friday that I ordered, I'm going to try a brand new one. If the same thing happens, I think ill go with the CE4 or CE5, sine the CE4 that came with my kit has been great. Just wish it held more..

You may like the evod, a bottom coil device. They do wick better than the top coils and they are not position dependent to wick, like top coils. Just so you know, all clearos leak, and for a variety of reasons, including juice, pressure, coil temperature, wick material, flavor wicks, PG/VG ratio, atmospheric pressure, etc. Nature of the beast. What I found helped me was to watch YouTube videos about specific devices that I used. Not only did I learn how to prevent or minimize leaking, but how to recognize and correct it as it happened. In time, it was so second nature, that I didn't notice it any more. It never completely goes away, though, but your expertise catches up with the pitfalls. For example, when the device gurgles, it's starting to flood. I would immediately remove the necessary parts, clear and clean as required, replace head, fill tank, etc. Flooding is the precursor to leaking. You can avoid leaking by immediately correcting flooding. The videos explain all of this. Try Phil Busardo and Grimm Green, among others, to learn these maintenance skills. Vaping is not effort free, it takes some knowledge and the willingness and ability to correct the problems as they occur. Accept this, and your frustration level will go down. Any time you mix moisture, air and pressure, you are going to have the conditions for moisture either not getting to the right place or too much getting to the wrong place...fact of fluid dynamics.

In the beginning, I found that some devices worked better than others. To find out, I had to try many different devices, both topper and batteries. Juice was tough too, for a while. All of it was worth it, as I haven't smoked this year, and probably never will again. Vaping works great for me, though I have to make an effort to get that best vape. I started with CE clearos (top coils), evolved to bottom coil evods, then Protanks, then Davide's, then the recent PTII. I tried drippers and RBA's, and eventually settled with cartos and carto tanks as my ADV. I just like the ease, the volume of liquid, the vapor and flavor the best for me. Others can taste the filler material and don't like them, choosing other toppers. It takes a while to find the best devices for you, the best juices for you, the best batteries for you, and it's not inexpensive exploring the possibilities. Thanks for the encouragement! Yes I will need to accept the things I can't change lol. Got some new juice today in the mail...gonna give my T2 another go..here goes nothing!
