I have been mixing up my own juices on and off for a while, and I only have one problem. I can seem to taste either the nic juice or the VG I am using?? Where are the best places to get VG and nic juice that dont cost a million dollars and have a neutral flavor?? Am I the only one picking up this flavor??

Taste each thing separately.
VG only, then PG only, then Nic only mixed with PG or VG if it's high Nic content and only after you're sure your PG/VG doesn't taste funny.
Also, are you tasting on different devices? If not, try that, maybe one has a bad or dirty coil

You might also consider upping your flavor percentages which should help mask any underlying flavors from the components.
I had the same problem with everything tasting sweet due to the VG. I was using 10 percent flavoring and upped it to 15 percent..Problem solved! If it seems to have a perfumy taste just air it out for half a day and that will usually take care of that.

I found the oily VG taste went away when I mixed it with 10% or so of Distilled Water and/or some Pure Grain Alcohol.

VG taste kind of sweet by itself, fluffy and smooth. I wouldn't call is oily, but I could see how some might think that depending on how your vape test it.
PG tastes kind of dry, harsh in a way, and slightly band-aid or plastic like to me, or maybe hospital / care facility air taste is a better description.
Try each thing by itself, with nothing added to it at all (No flavor). Once you taste your VG and it's OK, taste the PG, then same once you know it's OK taste the Nic mixed with either the PG or VG but do that last after you tasted the PG and VG separately, so you can pinpoint which is giving you the off taste,

I have to get a tank good and clean...I only have a couple Evod tanks and a couple vivi nova tanks - I switch batteries between my spinner, a pass through and a little mod I have - the juice I made seemed to taste funny no matter what setup I mixed up for the day (my hubby says my DIY sucks....LOL!!) I have to taste everything separate and see what the dealio is...I found it tastes better to me if I add some flavor in with each fill...but if I add more flavor to the batch, no difference...LOL, there is definitely a learning curve to this
Oh, and I found that if I soak my hubby's green tank in vodka - the rubber colored stuff comes off - LOL!!! He now has a silver tank....

I ordered a new bottle from Wizard Labs last night, this time mixed with PG instead, and I got a big glass amber bottle to transfer it to - I think it has something to do with sitting in the plastic bottle too long
