btw did anyone find out where we can source some tank tops for the ghost patrol gtus?

Ahh my bad. I wouldn't go with brass or copper, there is quite a bit of condensate that builds up in there.

Hehehehehe,
Ok I got my shipment in from Mcmaster-Carr yesterday and made my ghost protocal GTUS. I used 5/8ID x 34OD poly tubing and made the mouth piece adapter out of solid 5/8OD poly rod. I just drilled a 8.7mm hole and cut it 1/4" long then pushed it into the tubing and and sanded it. I did have to heat the bottom of the poly tubing up and reduce the size slightly so the threading would bite. So... here it is:

A quick note about the clear tanks. As I noted previously, I bought some 6cc syringes at Tractor Supply Co. I tried one out for the first time last night and they don't fit. They are too tight (very difficult to get over the washer) and they slide up much worse than the SS tanks ever did. I meant to look at the brand before leaving for work this morning but I forgot. Dan, do you know what brand you have? Mine came in a box of 6 for $1.99.
Dan, clear looks great. Is the vapor hotter that way without the metal cooling it down? Part numbers please?

Could the polytubing be threaded to screw on to the G-Tank-US? It's a slick look.
At some time during the course of this thread when Dan was showing the use of the 6 mil syringe to make a clear tank someone posted a site that carried the syringes. Earlier This past week I ordered 50 of the syringes from the online supply company. The cost with shipping was around 17.50.
I found that using a copper pipe tubing cutter works really well to score a fine line very accurately and the use of the razor knife to follow the scoring to finish the cut. I cut the syringe at the 2 hash mark past the 3 ml point and have plenty of room inside the 3 ml stainless cover. If you pull the plunger of the syringe so that the end of the hard plastic is just under where you are scoring the cylinder of the syringe won't compress too much. The scoring also creates a fine ridge line that will actually snap past the o-ring and holds very securely. This is a great little accessory for these units... Just a bit lighter and you can view how much liquid you have in seconds.
One of the other things that I want to try is to go ahead and cut the tip of the syringe down to within a 1/16" of the cylinder and then use one of those little rubber stoppers, like the ones that used to be used for the refill cartridges on ink jet printers so that the tank can be filled without taking it off yet having a secure seal.
Hehehehehe,
