Update:

Email from Alex:

Hi Daniel,

Our machinist has advised that it will take about 16 hours to rework the parts.
Now I have to communicate this to the partner supplier which machined the order to see if they wish to remake them or should we proceed to rework them.
I know this information is irrelevant from your perspective, but unfortunately, these are the procedures which I am required to follow.

Best Regards,
Alex Dimitrovski

An interesting twist! Sounds kinda like progress right? One fine day this will all be over and we'll be happily puffing one solid piece of stainless steel.

Thanks for keeping us updated Dan.

Well I planned on donating 2 units to VapeStock 2012 in Clearwater FL on June 8th and 9th, I am only hoping they will be freaking done by the!!!
Not a happy camper :(

Last year I got to try the prototype SGv3, now I have 5 and a sturm G-tank, GLV and hopefully your version by then. I just hope the HVAC doesn't break down this year!

It amazes me that this is all they've done in almost a month. It's a wonder their still in business.

Tell us, Dan. Will eMachineShop be getting future business from you?

No worries on my end, sir. :thumb:

Well not to defend the emachine folks, but if had gone with 32tpi and not 48tpi, the tolerance would not be as big of a problem. Will I use them again, definantly not for 48tpi threading. Maybe give them another chance with 32tpi threaded projects.

I really hate to say it, but I've just put my GTUS up for trade in the classies! I recently picked up a SGV3 and it has been much easier for me to get comfortable with, so I may as well pass the amazing GTUS on to another eager vaper. Thank you Dan for putting this all together and letting me enjoy your amazing work. I'm certainly not leaving, I'm still rocking the Scubagen and I'm still looking for that elusive BFG for my Reos, but the GTUS and I just weren't agreeing, lol. I thought it was huge, but the SGV3 is REALLY huge, lol. Oh well, apparently I prefer a top coil myself. Thanks guys!

Really? Cause I bet this is gonna make Dan real great about how long this CO-OP is taking.

No worries Murdock, Dan's got a good thick skin and a sense of humor. I don't believe that anyone feels that Dan is to blame. He could have sent everyone crap from the machine shop, but instead he QC'd everything and chose to have everything corrected before sending he products out to us all.

I think this is just people being bored. Many of the threads have slowed way down lately.
