More details on this please... How did you rebuild a ce2?

Here's where I learned to do the bottle/tank:

And here's where I learned how to rebuild the CE2:

I used paper clips instead of the safety pins he used, but otherwise it is the same. Obviously, I also used SS wick. You have to roll the wick really tight and thin - I started with a narrow piece, maybe 1/4 of an inch wide.

Hey Dan,
On what page of the scuba thread did you post the specs and pics of the BFG?
This will be my second project, the first will be reading a book on how to use
this lathe. Have a nasty feeling that this isn't going to be as easy as welding
was to learn. With 2 REOs it a Moral Imperative to have a BFG.

Oh forgot to mention, PayPal called today....

Yeah they wanted to basically know why there was such an increase in activity :)
And I expained the ideology of a co-op, they seemed interested. And then they wanted to know what I was having made....

Well before I could think up somthing the guy guessed it was somthing scuba related, and of course I said it was a tank system made out of SS stock (Not lying)
And he was happy with my answers and wished me luck.... I had been waiting for that call, cause I knew it would come sooner or later. *whew*

Talk about tap dancing :)

So if anyone from paypal calls you, it is a tank system I developed out of SS. Nothing more to say on the subject :)

I have been stoked for a month.

I have been searching through the discussions about this but I can't seem to re-find what I am looking for. Was there something about there being 2 different styles of T-Tanks tried on this? A hard plastic bottomed one and a soft rubbery bottomed one were tried on the GUS Tank and the soft version was preferred? Do I have that right?? Any tips on a vendor to go to to pick up a couple to try?

Yes the soft would be perferred as it seals better.
But, I have solve the T-Tank problem by adding the T-Tank puncture piece. This will not inhibit regular tank operations when not using the T-Tank adapter. Mock up Pic:

This will allow for normal tank and T-Tank operations. Just remember to puncture the hole in a new T-Tank before using as the wick extends out past the puncture device.

Epic Journey
Bumping this up for those looking for this info...

Ok, thought this might help those that are having trouble with the calculator or just aren't good with numbers.

Below shows the totals for specific quantity amounts as well for specific choices for preassembled, dripper tops, etc. This is for the unit cost of $62.51, if it does get to the 500 mark or anything changes in regards to price, I can update it.

The reason you see 3 different total prices is based on where you live or need it shipped to, the 1st column is for the U.S. residents, 2nd one is for Canadian residents and the 3rd is for the remaining International folks.

This is about as simple as I could make it and only goes up to a total quantity of 4 because as you can see the number of total combinations add up real quick as well as based on the quantities ordered. There is only one person I see getting more than 4, so if they or anyone needs feel free to ask me, I just figured I would try to help Dan out as this is a crazy large co-op.

Hope these help and Dan feel free to delete this if you think it might cause more confusion and if someone got more than 4 and needs help just shoot me a PM and I'll be happy to help out since Dan is probably swamped:
