I've never owned an ego,so the ego parts are of no use to me.I would suggest making a list to see how many of us really want that part and go on from there.I don't don't have a problem helping out with the costs for ego parts if there is still an overage.
If many of us don't need or want the parts the $1300 cost should come way down......Thanks for all your efforts.

I'll probably be using it on my ProVari anyway so it really doesn't matter too much to me. Besides, if it came down to it wouldn't it be possible to plunk down a little neodymium spacer magnet to make contact, like one sometimes has to do with short batteries in mods they're a little too short to be used in?

Also, this is a CO-OP, of which you are a part of. We are working together as a collective to achieve a goal. If the part needs to be reordered, I think it would be the CO-OP's responsibility to offset the cost. I know I would understand and be on-board. Also, I don't wanna see you get discouraged from doing future CO-OP's, and a loss like that would certainly not help our cause.... :)

So Dan... You are saying that the depth of the channel is short by .047"? Can you use a small boring bar to shave out the base into the threading to adjust the depth?

Edit: Nope I looked at the pics and see the problem. You wouldn't have enough thread left would ya?

QUOTE"Now for the problem, the ego ring height is perfect, the problem is I screwed up the thread depth. I was working with the design inverted and the threads should have been .230 inches in depth, but because it was upside down the threads were set to .146 inchecs in depth. So this is the farthest it will screw on. The thread channel should allow for the threads to go into it which adds another .047" depth but the threads do not enter the channel they stop before the channel. So the ring will not seat flush causing a the ring to set high and the ego battery connector to set low meaning the atty when screwed in does not set deep enough to make contact with the center pin.
