CHAIN vaping ON A tank LIKE THE PROTANKS WILL FLOOD IT 100%

And I chain vape it often. I'll take six or seven long, slow draws in a row with only a second or so in between each. No flooding [...]

Protanks flooding 100% of the time would infer a design flaw. If there were such a flaw, then it would be impossible for me to chain vape with my Protank 3 and never flood it.

6-7 draws in a row is actually an average for me rather than a constant. I chain 10 or more draws together sometimes. Still, my PT3 has never once flooded. Same was true with my PT2, which I've used even longer.

When anyone is experiencing issues as significant as these on a product that doesn't exhibit the issues with other users (meaning it couldn't be a design flaw), the cause can only be one of two things: (1) defective product, or (2) user error. The former is solved by a replacement product. The latter is solved by education.

im trying as we speak to figure out what ive done wrong anywhere and i cant figure it out.. im just very unlucky. yep using the nautilus ive tried every airhole, the draw is too "airy" if that makes any sense? not enough backpressure?

I actually had the same problem when I got my nautilus, I completely tore it down and switched juices and it seemed to fix it. Either my tank wasn't tightly put together or the juice was too thin.

All of the advice above. My 2 cents is:

It's easy to flush O rings down the drain when I'm rinsing the tanks for a new coil and flavor, so make sure this isn't the case with yours.

Also, for beginning vapers, my advice is to go with simple and easy fill and vape Evod clearomizers. They're not expensive and they're consistent.

I've graduated to Aerotanks and they're my preferred atty at this time. The battery connection is sealed so there's no chance that ejuice would trickle down the coil opening and touch the battery connection. The tank is larger so I don't have to make trips to the bathroom to refill the tank, and the tank is glass so there's no chance for plastic to react to the juices. Oh, and also, there are no glued parts to them.

I remember as I was going through the progression of finding my "ideal" gear that whenever I would get something new, I still had to fidget with it to make it work. Many times I felt so frustrated because I wished there was something that would just work right out of the wrapper/box. The only ones that did what they promised were the bottom coiled Kanger Evods.

Which ProVari endcap do you have? It does make a difference. The one on the left is the older style. I never could get a ProTank2 to work on it even with an aero base. The one on the right is the newer one. I actually have not had any ProTank2 issues.

I am not sure what would cause leaking issues, however. I chain vape, do not rebuild heads, nor remove flavor wicks.

I agree with the suggestion of going to a local vape shop for some additional help.

OP, vaping has a pretty steep learning curve, and not everybody is immediately up for the challenge. As others have suggested, it's far easier to get started with simpler systems such as drippers or cartomizers, than with tanks or rebuildables. You may have taken a bigger bite than you can chew the first time around, so I'd suggest going back to the basics, while you figure out the complicated stuff.

I vaped cartos on a simple tube mechanical mod for 2 years, while tinkering with tanks and rebuildables on the side and learning the ropes of tanks, coil building, wicks, DIY mods, VV/VW etc. Then, all of a sudden, everything clicked into place and I found myself naturally transition to DIY mods and coils on fancy bottom-coil tanks.

When I got my wife the evod, she wanted a bigger tank. so she upgraded to the PT2. Everything was gravy until it started to gurgle and flood. I couldn't figure it out until I did some research and saw it was a common problem. Apparently, if you let the juice go down 50-75%, it will start to cause all those issues. It has something to do with the vacuum/air being lost in the tank. Once you refill it, the problem goes away. When they did it at the shop, I looked at the evod and felt like an idiot.

Then the new issue came up with no enough air flow. I sucked so hard (save the jokes), that my cheeks hurt. Then I find out that you have to play around with the tank to get the holes right. My next solution was to get an airflow control for it. Thats when the wife got fed up and got a JEM mod and Tobh atty. They did a rollercoaster build on it and she's able to vape whatver she wants and it lasts a while (as long as you saturate it).

And another thing. This whole Vaping was very frustrating in the beginning but once you get the hang of things, it all works out. Have some patience with it and I can assure you it will work out. This forum has been a gods send. I've gotten lots of info out of it and it gives me stuff to talk about when I go back to the local B&M.

I never had any luck with any of the prostank variants, I found the nautilus to be a fiddly mess, the areo tank was useable.
The gasket placement in all clearos is critical for preventing leaks, airflow is critical in all delivery devices to prevent flooding or burning.

You might consider trying a carto tank, learning to properly prime a carto is the hardest step, which is simple after you get the hang of it.
For me it is the least hassle, great flavor&vapor and about as leak / flood free as vaping gets.

Vaping is all about personal preferences, it takes experimenting with all sorts of variables to find what works best for you.
Just because everyone else likes & recommends something doesn't mean it will work as well or at all for everyone.

OP, I feel ya. I spent about a year screwing around trying to get things working for me, until I finally got fed up and went back to full time cigarette use. I sold all of my Protanks, Evods, egos, cig-a-likes, chargers, everything, and didn't bother looking back . . . until recently. The problem with smoking is we all know it's a road to nowhere, or at least an early grave. So, what are the choices, I asked myself, to quit cold turkey? Well, as noble and pure as cold turkey quitting may be, I just wasn't getting anywhere that way--wasn't even starting. The very thought would make me smoke even more. At the same time, I think smoking is such a PITA with the constant cravings, restrictions everywhere, and the general erosion of my health. So, I thought what's the alternative? To smoke until death? I'm sure we both agree that's not really what we want to do to ourselves.

So, then I come back to ECF after a hiatus of a few months, and I read member after member that used to smoke 30-40-50 years, who's life has been wildly improved by switching over to vapor. Some members have even moved beyond nicotine use and no longer need to frequently vape, if at all. And all of this with very little effort compared to conventional way to quit smoking. I want to capture some of this thunder!

So, now I have a Vision Spinner, a carto tank, and a 15ml bottle of RY4 on their way right now. I have high hopes that the VV battery and carto tank will prove to be reliable enough to get me off the analogs, finally. I chose this specific gear based on my previous experience with BCC tanks and straight voltage batteries, as well as advice given on ECF regarding carto tanks.

So, what I'm trying to say is, if you are frustrated, then just put it all on a shelf and forget about it for a while, let the negative emotions fade before trying to get things working again. In the meantime, maybe work on stabilizing your cigarette use back to your normal level. Being frustrated and angry at your gear, and also panicking because your still smoking, will guarantee that you smoke more than before, and then you'll feel even worse. Perhaps, view tinkering with your vape gear as a sort of puzzle that you want to solve, rather than as a quit smoking device. I think if you remove your negative emotions, then things will start to get easier.

Let me send you some coils . . . go here:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...pif-new-ecf-casaa-members-4.html#post13573365

Join CASAA (it's free), then send me a PM. I have a coil making wizard who installs micros in those PT heads, wicked with either cotton or Rayon. I also have clearos that I send, and I vaped on one for 2 days, 3 tankfuls, that didn't leak or gurgle until I put it down for 3 days (they all do that if you let them sit). Best thing is you'll get better flavor and vapor than you ever would from a stock head.

The tax farm known as USA.
lots of people including myself have the gurgling/flooding problem on bottom coil clearos when the juice level drops below about 1/3, try keeping the tank topped off when its gets to 1/2, i have a feeling the tube going down the center heats the air in the tank expanding it and forcing juice out through the coil assembly, my evod doesn't do this and its almost all plastic

Well as some of you know from my posts a while back, I switched from my kanger evod to a provari and i have 2 protank 2's and recently purchased an aspire nautilus.

anyways, the problems ive had have drove me back to smoking worse than i smoked before, and now i have $600 in useless junk that i just cannot deal with..

i have 2 protanks that will not stop flooding, an aspire nautilus which produces no vapor, and an igo-w atty that i cannot figure out how to use..

i ordered an airflow control valve for the protank 2 that floods every 30-45 minutes.. the aspire feels like it has no suction and also floods.. dont know what im doing wrong, i was smoke free for 2 months!

im 20 years old, have smoked a pack a day for 5 years and now its almost 2 packs a day, i want to quit again, but trying to get this thing working stresses me out and leads me to smoke even more..

the protanks when on my provari screw all the way down and flood after 4-5 hits, with the airflow control valve screwed all the way down it doesnt make good contact and doesnt work

someone please help me!!!!!

firstly your only 20 so going back to analogues is no biggie at the moment, occasionally people slip up secondly you have to really really want to make the change to give up, and at 20 i'm not sure you really want to give up at the moment, your please help me you have 4 pages of help offered and you haven't come back to say thank you.

it's not going to work if you don't have the will power, the want and need to give up. Thirdly if you really wanted to give up you would go get yourself a few basic kits and start with them, in my view your eyes have been to big for you tummy and you have sprinted instead of walking, as people have suggested go start with a few basic kits go to your local shop and then get some expert advice don't run before you can walk and learn slowly you don't have to do all this in a day and you don't have to have super duper kit to give up the analogues, you need to want to give up and you will do it but no one can tell you to give up you have to do if for yourself,

i'm 46 years old i started smoking at 15-18 gave up for a year and them smoked 20 a day for 20 years and then 30-40 a day for at least the past 8 years, i married someone in 2008 that hated smoking with a passion and i always promised him i would give up, i didn't although i did try but my heart wasn't really into giving up i enjoyed smoking, and the more i got nagged the more i smoked, the more pain i was in from MS and diabetes the more i smoked the more anxious i was the more i smoked get the picture.

Then my hubby developed a smokers cough and he never smoked and I've never felt so guilty in my life. he told me a friend of his at work had got a different type of e cig at vapour one i had previously tried cigalikes but they did n't do anything for me, he told me that our local garage sold them, so one saturday I went and bought a basic ego as that is all they sold and some liquid, i left it on the side for 2 weeks looking at it, then one friday night i had one packet of smokes left my husband was coughing badly and i also had a bad cough and felt ill, and that's when i thought sod it i'll smoke the 20 i have but when they are gone that's it not going to buy anymore i've said it often before i didn't tell anyone/

i charged the EGo up and left it in the kitchen at 9.00 am on the 26th April i had my last cigarette, i picked up the ego put some liquid in and vaped it, it was just like having a cigarette thing closest i'd ever found to a real one, i started on max nicotine, and have not touched a analogue since. while i know it's only been 2 months 1 week since i stopped i know that I will never go back to real cigarettes ever again, my health has dramatically improved in just a short space of time and my husbands smokers cough has gone away, my husband is so supportive and so happy for me as is my family who have all managed to give up smoking one way or another i was the last left to give up but they are really supportive have never once mentioned the negative press, and said if this stops me smoking then carry on with this as long as i like if not forever if it's going to keep me of the real things they have all noticed the change in my health as well,

but you have to want to give up no one can force you, you need to do this for yourself, but if it was me i would go back to basics and take baby steps. it's what i'm doing it's only this week i've put my V3 kit waiting for it to arrive, I have bought a tank and have re wicked it but won't start my own coils for a while but certainly will have a back up, my tank leaked after i re wicked it today and though oh god what have i done wrong but i tweaked it and found the problem and sorted it, was a case of it didn't like the beauty ring couldn't get enough connection on the battery, as i took the beauty ring on and screwed the tank back on and it was fine after that, but i stayed calm and worked the issue out while using one of my basic ones in the mean time to sort out the anxiety of me thinking i've screwed my only tank up, have another on order now, i love my nature vape pro midi tank and the cotton wick. but also still use the basic ego and the clear atomisers that come with it,

sorry for essay,:?:
