kayfun v4 and provari v2.5 - need advice :)

well i recieved my ipv mini and subtank and i am impressed! the build quality of the subtank seems really nice. i primed the coil and filled the tank and am now vaping around 27 watts.

my only problem is i cant taste very much.. not at 10 watts, 15, 20, etc.. i think i need to let my taste buds fix themselves. i smoked my last cigarette about 2 hours ago so hopefully it gets better!!

When I started using ecigs it took a while for my taste buds to come around. Some juices are lighter (but just as good) in flavor then others, I bet the taste is there. IMO (seeing as you keep going back to wanting a Kayfun) the Lemo is 100 times better and it can be had for waaaaay cheaper. You can get an authentic Lemo from Fasttech for less then $40 and from other online US vendors for less then $50 from what I have seen. Not only does the price make it more desirable but the airflow is much better, it looks a lot nicer IMO and the flavor and vapor production both beat any Kayfun both authentic and clone I have ever tried. The lemo is simply a stunning RBA and the only tank I am using anymore (phased out everything except my rDNA, Flask and Lemos along with mech mods and drippers lol.)

Its fine to learn to build on the ST Mini. Take a look at how it comes rigged up and try to replicate that build again if you wish or just use it the coil it comes with. I personally enjoy the vape the ST Mini gives more with the pre made heads then any coil/wick I put in it.

alright ill definitely look into the lemo instead then! im not sure if maybe my juice went bad or something possibly. its been near a tanning bed in a little cardboard box lol..

ill maybe get a tugboat and learn to build on that so i dont waste juice in a tank

Yea ok whatever you think would work/you want. All up to you my friend. I like the tugboat as I find its an easy atty to build, good juice well and stellar flavour. Also got some good clouds. I like the v2. For now just enjoy the ST lol.

i am dying to try bobas bounty.. is it possible to switch flavors in pre-built coils? i have never been able to switch flavors without ruining a coil flavor-wise.. not sure how to go about it

update: i am now beginning to think i should have cleaned this subtank mini before vaping, i just filled up my 2nd tank and i have narrowed down the taste. its slightly "metallic" if you will. hard to pin-point what im tasting but smelling down the drip tip theres definitely a smell that shouldnt be there.. how can i clean this best without buying one of those ultrasonic bath things? ive definitely went over-budget already!

Try another drip tip. Could be the metal which was used to make it...

Well I've read through the first page of posts and skiped to the end because I can relate with what you are going through. I smoked for 40 years, tried quitting a few times and just couldn't; including vaping a few years ago. I'll skip over my Itaste MVP2 first device by just saying it worked to get me off the cig's. I quickly moved into a mechanical Jaijin and now have a SXmini with a Kayfun V4. I can't speak for the clone but I can tell you the origional I bought is the best delivery system I've tried. It is easy to fill, has great taste and is very cool tasting. It has been my go to mod since I got it. I have vape tongue too, so I have a large assortment of juices I'm trying. Most of them I can vap for a day or two before I have to switch. Right now my favorite juice is Pack Juice, Vanilla Butternut. Find something you like or you may be tempted to start smoking. I also have a Subtank Mini but it remindes me more like my dripper, it's a beast! I enjoy my Kayfun V4 much better espicially for all use.

There might have been some machine oil in the tank always best to wash them in warm water first and the lemo is a fantastic tank very easy to build on and wicking is easy never had a leak in either of mine cannot say the same about authentic kayfuns all of which I've either already given to family and friends or are waiting for them to have time for me to take them through building and wicking them. Stick with it can be frustrating but once you get it sorted nothing better then a good relaxing vape .

Im assuming you broke it all down and gave it a good bath and that fixed it for ya? Make sure you give all your toppers a nice hot soapy bath when you first get it weather it be a clearo or a dripper. Try some tobac liquids. I am sure you will find a juice you love it does take some time. As for using multiple flavours with the same coil, I do. I just wash out the tank and in the case of the ST Mini I just drop one or two drops of my new juice down into the cotton in the coil and it never "ghosts" the flavour.

im waiting for my new juice to get here that is 6 mg and im going to do it all at once. should i take the o rings off when i wash it? and just regular hand soap??

I am in love with my Provari P3 and Kayfun V4.....Boost mode and good airflow on the K4....heaven I tell ya....

When the K4 first came out I was broke

Bought a Clone K4 three weeks ago for $20.00....tried it out and was pleased...

When I got my tax return I bought an authentic K4 last week....glad I got to practice on the clone cause the 41 pieces blew my mind...but well worth the $$...best vape imaginable.

the 6 mg nicotine did the trick!! got my liquid in today and cleaned and refilled the subtank. flavor is better and there is no harsh "cinnamon" flavor that i got with the 12 mg nicotine. now ill have to order some more!

Good to hear ltk enjoy it . These days i have the lemos on a istick50 or sigelei 50 with my subtank for out of house duty all the vape satisfaction I could need.

Good stuff pal. The cinnamon taste was probally nic. Peppery flavours come out of the nic if its to high I find. Anyways enjoy your setup. If you like the ST Mini you would want a Lemo not a KF. When its time.
