Managed to wick this thing properly with zero leakage.
Lifted the coil a tiny amount and packed the cotton over the juice holes, made sure the cotton was below the lip around the air hole.

A good few tank refills and two days later - perfect.

I've really had it with the popular reviewers at this point.
Mike Vapes and 99% of the big reviewers mentioned no leaking, Grimm Green was the only honest reviewer - the rest are removed from my Youtube subscriptions as they're all about the money in my opinion.

I’ve had mine for a couple of days now, and it is fussy when it comes to wicking. The stock wick on the S03 head was poor – way too much cotton. I re-wicked but went too far trimming the cotton, and had a little leaking. Hit the right balance on the second try and it’s been wicking high VG juice without any dry hits and zero leaking through multiple refills. Also tried it with a thinner juice (60VG) and had zero leaking in use or in refilling.

The S03 runs well in TC mode (finding about 460F to be a good spot).

I like the overall concept of an “advanced” build without having to actually build. The overall build quality is pretty good – nice threading, and I like the click stops on the air flow. Cloud output has been impressive, especially considering I’m using just a single coil.

Downside has been flavor – it’s OK, but not as good as a “real” RTA such as the Griffin, Boreas or, my current favorite, the Sapor RTA. Still, overall I’m pleased with the purchase. Going to pick up some of the different heads now that they are starting to be available.

couldn't agree more, I got a strongly worded email because my review of this tank was a bad review. even when wicked properly the vape I get off it is dry and because the coils and wicks are so high in the tank it wicks very inefficiently. they rushed it out in my opinion and should have spent more time in R&D. the people that are going to buy this tank are going to think they can just screw the coils in and go but that couldnt be farther from the truth. every company puts out a fail sometimes and this is just geekvapes fail. and they respond to people that question it with things like "well if you dont know how to wick it right how do you know it's not wicked right and "are you sure yours is authentic"

I got the standard version Monday and it's leak city. I've tried both coils that came with it, replaced all the seals and rewicked numerous times. I have went through 30ml of juice that had leaked out of this thing. I had high hopes for this tank because I had gotten out of building because I never quite hit the hang of building. My hope was this would give me the great vape of rta's without the building. Guess I'll have try something else.

Any suggestions on a rta that easy to build on and wick?

I have pretty much switched over to the Aromamizer Supreme and Supreme Lite. They are absolutely awesome. They have the velocity build decks. Easy to build and wick. And no leaking. And to me flavor is better than all the Griffin variants.

How's is the Sapor rta? Any leaking or other issues? I thought it was still under preorder ?

I wish I could get one but I have the original aromamiser and could never wick it right.

I got mine from VaporDNA. It's also in stock at eciggity (in fact, there's a 20% off sale on all RTA's this weekend there).

Zero problems with leaking or performance. Very straightforward to build and wick. Love the flavor and the top airflow. Not as enthused about the tank size (2 ml) but the short chimney is certainly helping with the flavor. Still, a 25mm diameter would have been nice so it could hold just a bit more juice. Other than that, been very, very impressed and pleased with it.

Unexpected bonus was a scratch-off card in the box from Wotofo that gets you a free Wotofo tank or atty depending on whatever code you uncover. My code was for a Freakshow, so have one of those in copper on the way (even shipping was free) from Wotofo.

[And apologies for going off-topic in a thread about the Eagle]

I have the original too and yes it was harder to build on but the new Supremes have the bigger velocity decks just like the Griffins. If you have no problem building on the Griffins you will do just fine on the Supreme as well. And it has top fill too. No complaints at all with the Supreme. And the construction quality is perfect.

No need to apologize my friend, you answered what I had asked and it's much appreciated besides we can't only talk about the eagle cause good god it ain't worth it seriously I just rewicked the dual coil and it's still noisy and scratchy and it's wicked as perfectly as one could wick it and still no luck SIGH:-/

Hey bud could I bother you with one more question,I noticed it as those 4 wicking slots like the griffin which am not a big fan of for wicking, saw a reviewer vapin heathen run his wicks almost all the way down which you could not do on the griffin, how are you wicking yours if I might ask? Thanks again my friend;-)

Sorry you’re not having a good experience with the Eagle. Keep in mind that some snapping/popping is always going to happen with coils such as the ones included with the tank (especially the staggered fused claptons). All the nooks and crannies in the coil mass will trap juice, which is one of the main reasons they perform as they do, but it also will contribute to some popping. If you want a smoother vape, you’ll probably be happier with a single strand coil build, such as the D01 or the D02 heads.

For the Sapor RTA, if I’m using cotton I have the wick ends just entering the juice channels; if I’m using rayon I extend it a wee bit more. Fluffy ends is key to good wicking, especially with cotton. It's the same method I use with any RTA with a similar build deck (e.g., Griffin, Gemini, etc.) and it's worked well. The only RTA where I needed to go heavy on the cotton has been the Heracles RTA-2. Those juice slots are huge!
