Avocado in the vapemail today!! Few observations ....
  • Had to give it a good bath & scrub, even saw some machine oil in the tank before disassembly. Do this with all new attys though, didn't surprise me.
  • No washer was installed between the bottom deck & glass. And it was assembled tight, was worried about breaking glass during disassembly. Good thing it comes with a bag of washers.
  • I mighta missed it in the couple vids I watched, but I thought removing the gold posi pin (with nut on top) would disassemble glass, top, & bottom plates. It doesn't, the post screws together (actually a nice design touch), one needs to unscrew the top plate. This concerned me with no bottom washer in place .... but thankfully all turned out well without glass breakage.
  • Washed, dried, rolled up a simple 2.8mm coil ... DAMN!!! This deck is by far the easiest I've ever had to work on! Its huge, just begging for twisted, claptons, or other exotic coils that won't fit in other attys!
  • Few pulses & coil is perfect, coming in at 1.1‎Ω like planned. Wicked it with rayon, lot thicker than usual to fill up the huge wick holes & minimize drips if layed on its side.
  • The coil & rayon wick is same I've been using on some different kayfun v4s (tobecos) for awhile, wanted to compare the two attys. Only difference is a thicker wick on the avocado then I would build on the kayfuns.
  • Flavor between the two .... about the same, but I would give the kayfuns a slight edge. Just slight, not much.
  • Clouds .... Avocado, hands down. Regardless how much or little air holes are adjusted.
  • Speaking of air, avocado, no question. Wide open, lung hits are a pleasure, can't do that with a kayfun. With using just the 1 hole, it resembles the kayfun for MTL flavor puffers.
  • Noted that the sweet spot on the juice I'm vaping on the kayfun is 13.5W. The same sweet spot on the avocado with same juice is 15.5W.
  • This atty's tiny, not much taller than some drippers! For giggles, put it on a 49 mech mod (with a 18350) .... the definition of a stealth tank vape - totally hidden in my hand!
I like it, has a lot of pros, namely totally adjustable air, super easy build deck, good flavor, good clouds, small size, great machining & quality. Only cons, as Mark1963 & Reeftivo already correctly mentioned, it is indeed a big juice hog, 3ml doesn't last very long. I'd compare juice consumption to a genny - gulps it down. I'll try dual coils sometime soon, having a full bottle of juice at hand!

I watched Richard Ng's review and he removed the positive pin to disassemble the glass, top and bottom plates. Is that what you did as well? If not, how were you unable to unscrew the top plate?

Juice hog .... Compared to what?

My daily-driver tanks, kayfun v4s, are also 'juice hogs', easily going thru 10-15ml a day and 3 or 4 refills.

Rookie... With my TFV4 or Crown I can burn through 30ml in a day easy... My MuTank seems a bit lighter on the juice but Im still learning what builds I like best on it. I would LOVE to get 10ml a day, but sadly that just dosent fit my style.

And you know Im just picking on you...

I removed the positive pin with the tiny nut on top of it deckside, & the positive coil bank side. Tank wouldn't come apart.

Holding the base, I unscrewed the top deck to take tank apart. The center post, which the positive pin fits thru, is not press fit, it's threaded. And the positive coil bank is also threaded where the pin goes thru.

Didn't watch that video, but Tripper's video also was the same ... Remove pin it comes apart. Aparantly they've changed it. Now that I think about it, this internal threading will make the posi pin adjustable for those without spring loaded pins in their mods.

Yeah, I got it apart. I was kind of surprised that they didn't have the o-rings installed from the factory. I have the Avocado soaking right now, gonna throw a quick build in it and try it out. Definitely gonna install the o-rings while re-assembling. Thanks for the response.

Single, non-sub ohm coil in your crown & tfv4?

Got it built. 3mm ID single Clapton at about 1 ohm. Initial wicking with Vaper's Choice Cotton led to dry hits. Switched to Rayon and really thinned out the tails going into the wick holes. Running at 30W and it easily kept up with chain vaping. Nice flavor (not on par with the Griffin but pretty good). Definitely guzzles juice but filling is so easy I don't care. Thumbs up.

Single? whats that?? Like I said, not MY style. I started trying mo powwa and mo cloudage and found I really liked the vape I got. Now its hard to even use my STM anymore... Kinda sucks, but at least I DIY my juice so it isnt as bad on the bank account as it could be. :)

you'll have to loosen the tiny nut on the deck and then unscrew the center pin. After that, the deck and base are still held together by the pin tube/sleeve that runs from the base to the deck. when the pin is removed you just grip the deck and base and slowly unscrew and the pieces will separate.

play with the coil placement and you'll find your flavor sweet spot. too close to the afc holes wasn't good for me and too close to the posts didn't work either. about 2 to 3mm from the afc holes works best for me. I also find that i get better flavor when the base of my coils are slightly higher and not set evenly in front of the afc slots.

Yeah, it was just a quick and dirty build. I definitely like the amount of flavor I'm getting but I'll need to mess around about more before I get it dialed in. Nice Atty especially considering it's only $30.

It unscrews. But mine wouldn't budge. I dont recommend it but I used the handle of a small screwdriver that was just a bit smaller i.d. and pushed the stainless sleeve out enough to get a small flat head screwdriver under the lip and work around it until it popped out. After I did that the Teflon sleeve unscrewed with my pinky finger pushed in it. I pressed the stainless sleeve back into the Teflon without a scratch so I can reuse the adapter if I want. I think the stainless sleeve made it a bit too tight to unscrew with my finger.

Got mine set up (after a good wash). Finish was perfect, no scratches or dings. Things were tight, but came apart with a little encouragement. Built a single coil 32/26 Clapton, 3mm, 4 wraps, 0.62 @ 28 watts (took it up to 32watts but a bit warm). Lots of clouds for a single coil with AF wide open...smooth direct lung hit. Flavor is good at this stage, but not top. Will mess with builds, airflow and other variables. Great potential here. Huge deck! Wicking great.
