If this is his first rodeo with rda's it might be best to use Kanthal instead of SS.

OP, my preferred coil in the Griffin due to the tight deck was a 24 gauge Kanthal wrapped 6 times around a 2.5mm bit. It would usually come out to around .30 ohms. 40-50 watts would be sufficient.

The main thing is it's a starting point for you.

The Zelos won't fire any thing lower than .5 ohm, and I'm not sure what the istick will fire as it's an old school mod.

Did you have the 25mm Griffin or the 22mm?

I'm going to give the OP enough brains to have bought the 22mm tank, and if so I can't even imagine 24 gauge dual coils fitting and even if they did the mods wouldn't fire it..

Also, he needs SS for TC, he may as well get through the learning curve for stainless now.

I agree that he needs Kanthal for the Griffin though...

Okey dokey.

Interestingly, my Zelos fires down to .15 ohm and istick down to .1 ohm.

To the OP, let us know how it works out for you.

That is interesting, the specs I looked at said otherwise..

Maybe the manufacturer is telling us wrong, or maybe the vendors description I looked at did..

I don't own the Zelos myself... but I'd say not to build too low on it is wise advice anyway for the health of the internal battery and for better battery life.

If you think he's got the room on that 22mm Griffin to build low ohm coils and the power on the Zelos to fire it without blowing his mod, thats cool.

I'd still recommend trying to stick with building at .5 ohms personally on those mods, but of course that is my more conservative opinion and we each get our own.. lol..

GEEKVAPE GRIFFIN AMMIT RTA TANK CLAPTON COILS +Japanese cotton a...
is the coils I ordered and both tanks are 22mm, The Siren comes with its own coil and u just have to install it.

The link is a sign in link and doesn't work for me so I'm not sure what you've bought there, but it seems you've purchased pre-made coil wire/pre-made coils?

That will work fine in the siren, and might work in the Griffin. It's a dual coil deck so all we talked about will still apply, building safely for your batteries entails building @ high enough ohm plus having the space on your deck to build it.

I'd think wrapping your own coils is best in order to accomplish those things, but you can certainly try that coil wire and see if it works.

FYI, you can pick up quad core Ni80 Clapton wire for about $23. You'd have to wrap the coils yourself but you'd get a lot more coils for your money, especially once you get the hang of wrapping them yourself.
Lightning Vapes is a good vendor and they also carry very good premade coils as well.

Have you dealt with rebuildables before? When you install the coils do you know about getting hot spots out, etc..?

The Griffin arrived today I give it 0 out of 5 for functionality, one of the operational threads is locked.
and 0 out of 5 for quality, its tiny and the metal is so soft Ive destroyed one of the alan key grub screws already and my coils and cotton havnt even arrived yet!
Am putting all my hopes on the Siren. ( due on Monday)
Fortunately my Vapefly Nicolas mtl is still a roaring sucsess.
Havnt given up on rebuildable but suspect I may have to spend more than I am used to, to get a good result.
As for Hot spots and such like I could and will spend some more time watching utube before I buy expensively.

She convinced me.

I used the griffin for quite a while. It worked great, very few leakages, good airflow.... but some people have experienced the juice flow control spinning (I was one). It has to do with a press fitting comming loose.

If you're looking for a single coil MTL or Restrictive lung, look into getting a Siren 2 or Fresia.

Did the girl with the bozo the clown hair color mention any of these issues?
