I had a fair bit of leaking at first and spitback/gurgling. The inner oring at the top of the chimney right above the fill ports was not sealing, replaced it with one of the included spares and haven't had a drop leak since, and spitback/gurgling has pretty much disappeared as well. I also wicked down into the channels so that the wick is visible for about half holes. Having it tucked just into that ring like some reviewers say didn't work so well for me.

I'm running dual fused clapton, 2x28ga core 32ga outer 5 wraps at 2.5mm, .3 ohms. I can chain vape at 55 watts without a hint of a dry hit, haven't pushed it up higher so see how far it can go because I'm enjoying it at 55w.
Hi! Thank you heaps for all your tips. That rhymed :) Are you referring to this inner black O-ring?

My cotton tails were not as long as yours, but I'm actually running the same build as you, except it's spaced claptons. A good buddy of mine has also suggested spaced coils might allow excess juice to drip down into the air flow holes. When I empty this tank, I'll squeeze the coils tight together (is this fused?), change the O-ring and redo the wick. This was my first spaced coils, so I'm still glad I tried it :) I'm vaping both my Aromamizer and Griffin at 47 watts because I find it more comfortable.

Fused is 2 core wires instead of a single thicker wire, not seeing a huge difference between 2 28ga vs a single 26ga for the core. Thats the oring I had to replace. My coils are slightly spaced, just barely not touching.

Gotcha. Thats what I have, 28ga x2 + 32ga. How are you liking your Griffin?

I have a silver Griffin still new in a box unused with the plastic on it. Didn't know I had it. I think I bought 2 and forgot about the other one since I didn't like it. Now that the Griffin Killer is out can't see myself using it. Gonna try the Gemini by Vaporesso instead. It's gonna take a lot to knock my Aromamizer out of rotation though.

According to reviewers yes it is but then again I didn't like the Griffin when I had it and sold it used. There are much better flavor RTA's right now like the Pico, Higo, Hurricane, Aqua SX, Kayfun Mini V3. Those may not have a build deck as big or vapor production like the Griffin but I think they are better for flavor. A guy that works in the shop next to me has 3 Griffins and seems to always complain every now and then about his leaking one minute and being fine the next. He has already stripped the screws which isn't a surprise because mine stripped on the second build.

Oh okay. Well I'm still new and this just my third atty. In addition, I cannot afford expensive tanks like the Hurricane. No matter, I am in love with my Aromamizer and Griffin- I'm very happy :D

Of course, my Shinyitis will always keep me window shopping :)

I love my Aromamizer too, I am vaping it right now. The Hurricane and Pico both have a good clone right now. Eventually there is always gonna be something new to come out and everyone will have to have it and what is hot this month will not be next month. This industry moves so fast. There always has to be a so called "killer" to one up the next tank like the Lemo was dubbed Kayfun Killer and the Herakles Plus the Crown Killer and of course someone had to have a Atlantis Killer or Subtank Mini killer. The Griffin is the Crius Killer and so on. I say be happy with what you have no matter what RTA it is. What is for one person may not be for someone else.

Very true. I only have 3 devices and it took me a while to decide on what I was going to invest in. I'm so glad I like the vape I get from my devices as I can see other new vaper's struggling with theirs, further intensified if they don't have a good backup to fall on. It's a buyer's market and there's something new always coming out, but a new vaper should always take the time to determine if it will feel their needs and wants.

Any one have issues with the griffin not wanting to wick 30/70 or coming close to dry hits and did you find a fix for it or should i just start looking for another RTA or just stick to pre built coil tanks.
I'll let someone with more experience chime in for this one, but you will have to explain the type of build you have in it.

.14 ohm dual clapton.

That i have done but it seems like the wicks are to tight or to lose and a hit lasting longer then 2 secs seems to start to sizzle and 3 secs starts turning dry

I currently have a 70VG/30PG juice running and there are no issues. I have a dual clapton build going and I had put a fair bit of cotton through the coils. It was a scottish roll. When pulling your cotton through the coils, make sure there is a bit of resistance. If it's loose, then there's not enough cotton.
