Just got this tank today with some 24 gauge Kanthal and 15 pads of muji cotton. I'm absolutely loving it. Until this day I'd never built a coil before and I'd never really wicked a coil (because let's face it, rewicking a protank/evod coil just doesn't count). My build reads around 0.3 ohms (I was aiming for 0.2 but that'd be 4.5 wraps so it's reading a bit higher as I'm using 5 wraps). I'm currently using an evic VT at max 60w and the vapour is warm, thick and moist which is brilliant, but I'm looking forward to pushing about 75w on the iStick 100w I ordered, I know the tank can take up to 100w but I feel the vapour would be just a tad too warm for my liking.
I had a slight calamity on my first attempt at wicking (loose Scottish roll), it seemed after reading so much about the tank and how you're meant to just rest the wicks in the juice canals rather than packing them in I'd took it too far and the whole deck flooded and gushed out of the air holes leaving me with a coated mod. Anyway, I just rewicked it and packed it a little tighter with slightly longer wicks and now it's doing great. I can safely say the Griffin is a must have for anybody who is considering an RTA, regardless of whether you're an avid RTA user or just dabbling. For less than £30 you can't go wrong!
