Have you moved your coil higher yet or is it still in the middle height position between the cheese graters?

No, but I installed it pretty high, to begin with. I always do. I am enjoying the flavor more now so I think the wick just needed to fully saturate.

The Zeus has really shown me what a difference PG/VG ratio can make. Previously I was running an 80/20 juice on a fused clapton 26ga core 40ga outer at .19 ohms and had to keep my wattage in the low 40s or I would notice a hint of it getting dry. I've switched to a 70/30 with the same coil and now I'm chain vaping in the mid 50s. Seems like the longer I vape the more I learn

The coil isn't too much for the Zeus, I'm guessing wicking and af/wattage.

A 3 cored Clapton might be evaporating juice faster then a wick can handle. Just a thought.

Even with a Clapton Ni80, 6 wraps, 3mm id, 0.45ohms. I’m at the edge of dry hit at 50watts. And my tails are super thin. Lots of bubbles when Vaping.

I am using Bacon Cotton. Not sure if it’s v1 or v2. It’s a large black plastic bag.
It has been great on RDTA and RDA at 120w: dual Coil Ni80 Clapton, 6 wraps, 3mm id.

I have to rewick my Zeus later today, I’ll try to post pics of my wicking method.

Edit:
Side note.
Today is the second time my coil got flooded with what feels like ‘water’. But only happens when I vape at around 17w. It’s random.
And there a lot of crackling(so) sound when I crank up the wattage to clear it up.

I have a 3mm tri core fc ss .42Ω in mine. Set at 36 watts, no problems with KGD or egyptian cotton. Lot of spit back with miji, probably user error.

See, you Vaping at 36w. Try 50w. Do you get dry hit or close to it when you Vape at a 10sec interval?

I am over high wattage vaping personally. The flavor, for me, comes through better at 35 or 40 watts than it does at higher wattages. I am vaping on the Zeus at 40 watts, with 3.5mm tri-core fused Clapton at .32 ohms. That said, everyone should vape in a way that makes them happy.

It sounds like you have thinned the tails too much. This tank likes a lot of cotton. Just fluff it up a bit, then stuff it in, making sure the tails touch the bottom.

Here is my wicking method. Pics included from both sides of the deck.
I am using Bacon Cotton v2, it clearly says on the package, I just never noticed it.

1. I don’t use a lot of Cotton, when it goes in to a coil, there is some friction. It’s not lose and it’s not tight. Light friction.
2. Fluff both end of the tails, fluff it up.
3. Separate the wick in half, top from bottom. This method requires no racking or combing.
4. Cut the top half of the wick right next to the coil.
5. Place the rest of the wick in the half moon channel.
6. Juice the wick a whole lot, don’t be shy, take your time and let the cotton expand, keep it in the half moon cut out.
6. Pop the tank on.
7. Fill the tank and close it as fast as possible. If you don’t, it will flood the deck. But it’s ok, at 35-40w it will clear it right up.
8. After one tank of juice the tank won’t flud again when you refill it. If it does, your tails are too thin. I have yet to run in to this issue.
9. If the coil doesn’t flud after first fill up, your tails are too thick.
if the coil fluds the first time, then I can vape at 60w max as a test. This tells me I have great juice flow in my wick.
But I have to reduce the wattage every 10w with each fill up. It’s very odd but I’m trying to figure out the the issue. Could be because of Bacon Cotton but, I don’t have any other Cotton to test the theory.

Picture time!
I cropped the pics the best I could on the iPhone.

I’m not the one that is having the issue. I’m trying to help another forum member.

I enjoy vaping it at 36w, why would I want to try 50w? I guess maybe my womper style of vaping is why I don't have the issues some of the others are having.

Love the pics. Will help those using your kind of wick. Lightning Vapes sent me some of the CB with an order last year, we didn't get along.

Okay people, this is MAJOR news about the Zeus. GeekVape has a Facebook page that I liked, so their posts pop up in my feed. They posted a photo of the Zeus tank saying, "Is it your beloved tank?" I replied saying, "I love this tank but don't love the available colors. I have a black one and would LOVE gold and rainbow. Any chance of that happening?" I didn't expect a response, but just a few minutes ago GeekVape replied, "We will submit your feedback to product department, I think we are going to do rainbow." That literally made my day! :D

I’ve settled on my build: 8 wrap SS316L 24Ga 3.0mm I.D. spaced, running in TC set at 460F and 40W with 60W 1s preheat.

KGD Cotton, tight through the coil, wick ends declumped, thinned, and cut straight at the ends and then evened out, probably about 2mm sticking straight out beyond the cap edges on both sides. With this, I juice the wick and then gently place in the channels, the ends barely touch the inside bottom of the cap after this process.

In a 4-5s draw with the preheat, the coil gets up to temp pretty quickly and then powers down to maintain my 460F temperature. I’d say the average wattage after preheat is around 25W.

I can run 25-30ml of liquid before needing a rewick, depending on liquid properties.

The vape is fantastic... rich, slightly warm, flavorful with some mild/soft crackling, just the way I like it! Love these tanks.

No flooding on initial fill or subsequent fills for me. On the first fill after a rewick, I get a little extra crackling and the vape is noticeably more saturated, but that smooths out after about 5-6 pulls. I do not fill up all the way to the top, and I use a unicorn bottle that fits well in the fill slots, off to one side allowing enough room for smooth air displacement. I DO sometimes get flooding when using a glass dropper for some reason, have not since switching to the narrow plastic tips. I do notice that the glass dropper sometimes has air bubbles in it that are forced in to the fill ports, when this happened I did notice some flooding as well.

P.s.

Once I started using Ni80, the metallic taste has vanished.
For some odd reason, this is the first and only tank(Zeus), I ever had an issue with metallic flavor. I’ve been using Kanthal daily for few years in various tanks, but for some odd reason, Zeus is better with Ni80 imho.
YMMV.

I have converted all my tanks to Ni80 Clapton with great success. The only issue I’m now faced with, Ni80 Clapton coils, Consume juice at x2 the rate of a Kanthal single strand coils.
Xmas and New Years being around the corner, many juice makers have big sales and I can stack up on juice for the next 4 month at pennies on a dollar.
