I just bought a used Genesis Line "style" rebuildable atty.
Question 1: When the mesh is oxidized should it look like a charred stick or does it still look like it did before you oxidize it only blacker?
Question 2: How close to the bottom of the tank should the wick go. Mine is about an inch from the bottom. This seems to high to me.
Question 3: Are the coils/wraps suppose to glow red? Mine do after awhile and I think it is due to the wick not wicking properly and is getting dry. The electrodes are not touching the wick. The electrodes are copper. Is this safe?
I'm using 400 mesh and .32 ga Kenthol wire with 3-4 wraps. Approx. 2.7 ohms. I've tried it at 3.7v and 5v and 6v and I don't get very much vapor. Why am I not getting vapor?
Here is a pic of the atty I got. Any help would be appreciated.
