Hey guys, I've recently jumped the rebuildable bandwagon. I'm LOVING it. I usually rock a micro coil with a cotton wick. I really wanna try my hand at a genesis style tank. Can someone recommend a good genesis style tank for beginners? I should add...the more affordable, the better. Tho, I'm more than willing to spend a little more money if it means a much better vape ;)

Thanks in advance ...love ECF <3

I started with a griffin, they're decent quality especially since they can be had for sub 10 dollars. i've got much nicer genesis tanks but to be honest I lile my griffin. I got it set up pretty good so I keep using it lol. get some flat wire with it also. when I get home after work I'll try to remember to post a link to it :)

What's a good size flat wire to start with? Also what size mesh?

I just received my first genesis rba from fast tech today. Was like $15 shipped. Took about 3 weeks to get here, but figured that was a excellent deal to explore the genesis. It is the I-Atty clone, and am pleasantly surprised at the build. Everything fits tight and nice. It comes with 2 SS mesh coils, one already installed. Wasn't impressed with the loose 3 wrap .9ohm build, Had nasty tasting hot spots. So did a wrap with 28awg Kanthal, had to add a couple wraps since I was getting a lo error on the P when checking ohm. Gave it a total of 6 wraps ~1.1 ohms. Was a bit fussy, but when I worked out the hot spots, the vape is fantastic. For my first try it's doing well. It vapes as well as the Russian rba with a Volcanic Dragon Nano build. Hard to say which I prefer. They both are great. The taste is fantastic but need to re-wrap it since the coils seem to shift a bit between uses and develop hot spots which taste nasty. All in all, am very happy I tried this rba. If it lasts, I probably won't get another, If it breaks I'll then get a more high end genesis.

Here's the link to the one I bought: https://www.fasttech.com/products/1413900

I would recommend to skip any genesis atomizer and switch right into the next generation of drippers. You need something Kayfun/Taifun GT/ Squape or their clones. No matter what kind of a coil you build in a genesis it will never be able to suck juice to the coil by itself you will always have to flip the atty in ordet to get the coil properly saturated. In the case of the ones I recommend juice is being delivered to a coil by pressure. There are many more issues with genesis atomizers you can find once you make your own research but if you decided to buy one anyway for your collection then you can't get any higher in the high-end genesis atomizers than Doc Dave's ones. I think vaperev has a titanium version for only $240.

as one post said the kayfuns or likes are kind of the way to go, they are definitely less picky. with that said, it is hard to beat the flavor of a properly set up genny. also it is a way to hone your rebuilding skills on. if you can build and maintain a genny your ready for whatever. the rsst is a good genny to start with, it is the most popular inexpensive genny out there along with the aga-t. did you mention flat wire? personally i would start with 30g round at first. flat wire will require a bit more experience and tbh, isn't no difference really. i have done hundreds of builds and with a vv device like you mentioned, 30g is the best. as for an expensive genny in your future, that's what i would skip, at that point try the kayfun or likes.

for top end genis my faves are the
MMV gemini
the cobra
the megatron

I like the smaller caps and the way it concentrates the flavor. I have not had a chance to play with the newer ones.

the kayfun, taifun and squape work very well. the squape was to tight of a draw for me. but its built nice. love the kayfun for work though, but my all day vape at home is a geni.
