Ok I tried the rope with an ekowool sleeve after several sleeves fell apart I got one on. It is messed up I have all sorts of hot spots and I cannot really see my build as the eko wool covers it all up. I goot a russian 91% today ( i know I am all over the place but learning the whole time) and it built easy and seems to vape perfectly with more flavor than any of my genesis builds. I am going to try and rebuild the wire sleeve combo tomorrow any advice?

Did you burn the ekowool so it would not fray and use a nail or something to open it up.? I have rebuilt mine 3-4 times in a few weeks and it is still in place. Just got a 91% too I have been using it more than anything. Flavor is great I want to buy another.

Ok guys. I have a mini did I bought from vaporsknoll formerly vapor ...... Its the end of days one. I am very successful with microcoils. But I am having some problems using the cotton in there. Do I need to just remove the fill screw and leave it out ? Or would it be better to uwick? I havent gotten that thing working yet. Any help is very appreciated.

If it's not wicking leave it out that's what I do.

I have been doing this for about 3 years & have found that the wick size, wire size & # of wraps can make the difference in the vape.
Want more throat hit just make a lower resistance coil. More flavor make a higher resistance coil. It all come down to Ohms Law & power.
The difference in attys is air flow & air chamber. I have a AC9, DUD & 2 Reos. All of which I use ss mesh for wick.
The Reos are kinda' a horizontal genny that you pump for liquid feed.
It all comes down to preference of the user & money. Status doesn't buy satisfaction. I am also considering a Richman Hybrid as it's numbers, the reviews I have seen & the fact it is "Made in America".

A little cotton stuffed into the top cap reduces the chamber a little and it touches just the top of the wick and it is wonderful.

....I have found I like the ones with reduces air chambers/top caps for the rich thick warm vapor they produce....

Just for a laugh, I googled the Richman hybrid (which looks pretty nice in the OP's pic), and this is part of the blurb:

Reduced air chamber top cap for better hits and flavor....

Now the joke's on me...I think I want one of these!
