so i have two zens (sidewinder and cobalt) that ive been playing around with. Now im at the point where im not lost enough to ask questions like. im running out of wicks. where can i buy some? also whats the difference in gauge wire do? should i start doing a PG/VG combo something other then 50/50? i dont think these are zen specific questions... or are they? i think i may have jumped into something a little too advanced. but im sure ill get it with some help. thanks

OKCVAPES has mesh. 300-400-500
RTDVAPOR has spools of wire.

the higher the gauge number the smaller the wire and the higher the resistance, not accurate - just for examples:
5 wraps 32g 2.0ohms vs 5 wraps 28g 1.1ohms.

since you cant adjust voltage you have to adjust the coil resistance to get the vape your looking for. one trick is to over wrap the coils creating more resistance and if its not enough vapor unwrap one spiral and try again.

Cant answer the juice i always used 70/30 ish Pg/Vg

here too
ElectronicStix.Com · wick

but its easy to do, take a straight paper clip wrap the mesh around it good and tight and smooth, burn with a lighter, dip in juice, burn it off, repeat a time or two and usually good to go

just cant see paying a $1 or more for 1 wick when 10-15 bucks gets you a 12in by 12in sheet that will make 65-80 wicks

can you buy pre rolled/oxidized wicks anywhere?

the only thing is that the diameter of your wick hole could be different than the diameters of the pre-done wicks. now for the ones that are high lighted below " stainless steel mesh for DIY atomizers (pre-oxidized) " those are for the did atomizer, the did has a very large wick hole so i suppose you could just roll them up a little tighter to fit your zens, provided that the zen has a smaller wick hole to begin with.

If you go to house of hybrids. com you can contact them, I believe they do sell pre-rolled zenesis specific wicks. I asked them a while ago when I was interested in a Zen. I wanted to have the option of being able to get ones ready to use in case I could not get the whole rolling and oxidizing thing right. I have bought an Odysseus since then and I love it. So much more easy and carefree.

Actually the Cobalt wick hole is rather large since it does not use an insulator. Not really sure on the SW, never really played with them.

Personally best bet is to get mesh and make your own. Once you get it right, wick will last months.
