Assembly is very simple - simply screw together - as shown in Raidy's pic below - you have the base, the atty chamber, the bottle, and then the top with mouth piece.

There are several Genesis threads (e.g. Jensb's Some homemade attys and genesis) and Raidy's thread which will acquaint you with the atty setup. Wrapping the coil is more simply put - wrap the Kanthal around lower screw, tighten screw, wrap around the wick, wrap around the upper screw, tighten the screw. When you do it once, you will find it to be very simple.

(btw - I added the o-ring info so I could keep it straight)

Thank you Teach! I'm fairly mechanical, so I figured it wouldn't be impossible! LOL!

Just to make things clear:
Ready assembled means that all parts are assembled. Kanthal and Mesh are not included.
It would be a hell of work to roll some hundreds rolls of mesh, scroll Kanthal around it and fasten it.

Oh my? No mesh and kanthal? What's the difference assembled and kit? What has been done Different since it's not ready to vape?

From what I read on the website, with the kit, you have to assemble ALL the teensy bits and parts. The assembled version, everything else is done except the mesh and Kanthal.

Woo hoo! Im glad this finally went to production.

Debb, scubadan has a youtube video about rolling the mesh.

I may buy some more mesh too, as I've used some on my torpedo tanks already ..... & I'm gonna need it for this co-op, fender's & scubadan's.

Let me know & maybe we can order together. ;)

Dan's wick is completely different than this one. His is curved like a CE2 wick. These are straight and easy to roll once you get it. Much like rolling a cigarette.

I saw this one also ... is this more of what we will be looking at??

Yes,should be very similar to this one. I hadn't watched that video in a while. I had forgotten that jensb had that cool tablestand torch.... My Bernzomatic torch\soldering iron is now very jealous!

No, that is different. Going in that direction but different.
- he is annealing the mesh to strong. The ehat of a lighter is enough
- our Genisis has screws to fasten the Kanthal and a ceramic guidance for the mesh
- no injection needed - the bottle is the tank

Thanks, good insight. I was referring that video for rolling the wick more than anything. I also use a (butane) lighter, no torch.

MJ, that was the funniest thing when I saw this, my eyes lit up and I was like "OH boy ... now the perfect excuse to buy a flame thrower" LOL

I did notice it wasn't the same Genesis in this run, but I also was just trying to figure out the mesh rolling. Getting overly excited!

That is very interesting indeed. I thought the higher heat was needed and have been using a butane torch since day one. I will have to try it with the heat set to soft flame so it's low like a lighter and see what happens. I always wondered why I had to do it 5 or 6 times to actually get it to no longer conduct with the coil. You learn something new every day :)
