First off big thanks to Uwe for offering this and I would have got one if it were 15 mm diameter. As for the kronos it sounds quite like pwm or an attiny as it is set to regulate by percentages, and this certainly sounds like a nice way to get a very satisfying vape.

I'm sorry, but I really don't know what that means. If I could get more clarification that would be great!

I think being on ECF is going to send me broke lol. Way too much awesome stuff going on. I cant wait to see the next generation of attys and mods. Pretty exciting. I like the direction it's going. Cleaner, healthier vaping while improving on the pleasure of it also. Read all the way through Raidy's initial thread last night. That was a mammoth read and one of the best I've read so far. I have a lot of admiration for inventors and innovators. Especially philanthropic ones. I'm pretty late to the party, I haven't even started modding yet, but I definately have a new hobby on the horizon. Gonna have to do some electronics for dummies I think...

Your next reading assignment... :)

You should have this thread read by tomorrow, as well. Right?

Post #18 in this thread has all the other details too, but from that:

Program
- PWM
- regulateable voltage between 50% and 100%
- low battery warning at 3,4 V
- electronic lock by software
- red and green LED for status indication

So it takes an 18650 battery. You can cut the voltage down to as much as 50% of whatever the battery is putting out. Li-Ion will put out something close to 4.2v fully charged and run down to whatever (let's say 3.2v). If you turned the dial to regulate the voltage at 50% the atty would see 2.1v down to 1.6v. You get a warning light/led indication when the ouput at the battery is down to 3.4v so you don't run the battery down too far. If you left it at 100% it would just be like using a regular mod with a 18650 battery.

I know, I guess stating the obvious was not as funny as I thought.

Heading back to my corner now :p

I thought your post was funny...

Trust me, I laughed when I read it.

I could have sworn I hit the like button when I read it before...

I hit it now though...

I believe the spec states that it can fit a protected 18650. It has not been mentioned as far as I know, but possibly 2 cr123a or 18350 batteries could be used to then have a voltage regulation of 3v - 6v. This has not been mentioned before and the electronics may not be designed for this range of voltage. I'm just thinking out loud here :)

i am hoping for more info for us non-tech minded myself...on the Kronos box
but I understand that once the voltage is understood, the resistance of the coil (genesis LV) will be targeted to optimal vape
Thanks much! So, I am I understanding that you can or can't run it as high as 6 volts? Forgive my lack of knowledge lol...

if i make my genisis say at 1ohm wouldn't it me a lot of room to play with the voltage on a single batt?

Absolutely it would. IMHO there really is no need to even bother using high voltage with Genisis because it works so well at low resistances and you can make that resistance whatever you like. To me, there really should be no reason anyone could not get exactly the vape they want with a Genisis atty connected to single battery. Like I said, I was just thinking out loud. :)
