Hmm, very curious to hear more, I am a history buff and naturally interested of history of vaping and vaping gear.
The clone empire wasnt really running full steam for vape gear yet, I think they copied 2 or 3 attys at that point. The few originals they tried to make were ok but meh.
And the ac9 was popular but they had a real stock problem being a small shop. Seems like everyone was always waiting.

Well Smoke dropped a press release for a new atty comming, nicknamed the Rebuildable Stainless Steel Tank.

And here on ECF and a few other places co-ops and group buys were forming for the first batch.

Vapinaze caught wind of this and went " full ......"
Coming on to forums and message boards and threatening legal action against anyone who bought one.
Almost everyone laughed it off, and many of us said quit crying and make some already, you spend more time biching, then making atty's. As time went on they pretty much lost all respect, and the more they ranted the less many wanted anything to do with them.

By the time they calmed down and reupped stock the damage was done. Noone wanted the big money ac when the rsst was cheap and actually making revisions faster then vapinaze.

They released one more atty design but it didnt catch on as by that time vaping was gaining popularity and many people were now making their versions of attys.

Things like hellfires, foggatti's and steam machines took everyones interest away from the few old dogs like vapinaze and zen.

Not to long ago the website finally disappeared. Had he upped his game and shut his face they may have stayed relevant, many of the top shelf manufacturers dont really care about clones and some have even seen sales increase as more people become interested in real items after trying a cheap copy.

For me ry4 double or caramel in my geni and there is nothing better. Mmm mm I chain vape those two till im ill lol

Thrasher, that story would make an example story to study in some MBA course :D Anyway, too bad what happened to those innovators, but have to say they really went over the edge by threatening to sue the people, even though rationale in software business goes in a way that if you have pirated copies of software you can be sued. Oh well. Complicated :D

Late last year as sub ohm clearomizers became dominant the geni was declared dead and gone.

In the past few months I suddenly see more models pouring out all of a sudden then I have time to try them all and its my belief that the coolness of more clouds is wearing off as many who started with subtanks are now becoming interested in rebuilding and flavor chasing as the fad is cooling off.

Rebuilding isnt hard, but there is a real skill in being able to tune your vape by adjusting your builds. And with a well designed atty theres just no way a prebuilt coil in a generic same as everyone else's tank can compare.

Well, I have Vivi Nova coils in my current tank, which I rebuild. Was lucky and got with my first rebuild a better coil than the commercial coil was. I really don't know enough of this to say that the coil is the heart of the vaping system, but I still say so because that is what I think now. And I don't want to buy that heart for my system from a shop, at least not at this point, when I am enthusiastic to build my own :D

Lol im still working on mesh I bought 2 years ago. I dont think I could ever not rebuild at this point, its so cheap.
I like the h atty there. Simple, clean deck. Reminds me of the turbine, make sure you come back and let us know how it goes. Or if you need help.

Good luck man, hope you stumble across what we are in love with about geni's

Ahhh the ol rsst, the AC9 clone that caused vapinaze to self destruct. What a fiasco that was lol

Oh wow, is THAT what happened to Vapinaze? I wondered cuz I was trying to find their website and it's just not there. I've been wanting an AC9 for a long time, and I can't find one they don't want big bucks for.

Hey. Today got the H-Atty. It works after second coil. Very different than my NSA, this is about silent, yet vapor come. A bit hot vapour, quite strangled pull, and there is muted taste, again, very different than NSA. Will be interesting to see how things change after the coil and wick "settles" or I make a better setup.

My rebuildables are all RSSTs. I see no need to jump on the latest fad when what I have works well for me.

Here's a little trick that I use to get the mesh to wick better. I put a length of silica wick in the middle of the mesh before rolling it. Gives it the extra wicking ability for those "stressful" times when you may otherwise out vape the mesh on its own. :)

Thank you of the tip, but silica, eeew, got my share of that with Vivi Nova, did not take many coils for that :D

The annoying issue with genisis is wicking at 50/50 or more intense VG liquid, the change in vicking depending is the tank near empty, half-full, or full, and leaking. From what I have read, all those issues can be dealt with.

Guess this said it all. Can't really put cotton into a genisis, because there are things which are holy and pure, and genisis is like that :D

Need to practise another three months setups and accept that even though if there is excellent liquid of higher VG, one still can't vape a tank of it at once :D
