My experience is that if they come in a plain white box they're fake and if they come in a black box with Kanger on it they're probably real. I don't know how you'll be able to tell when ordering though.

Well that's unfortunate...does that mean my coils (pictured below) are knock-offs, despite getting them from a reputable vendor?

haha I am looking at the same IDENTICAL box here and also
bought them as Kanger product from a big name store over the counter...

Same here, I got white box as authentic from a reputable vendor that won an award for best prices and they work better than any other coils I purchased. Have purchased generics from fasstech and they have the ohms stamped on the side. Also the only heads I have had that leaked came from another reputable store that sold them to me over the counter in person and I watched them take them out of the black box. My generics have never leaked.

I am going to start rebuilding them when my coil and wicks come in tomorrow so I guess if they leak after that its my fault... :)

After four refills my coffee flavors taste like badger piss.*

*Yes, I've tasted badger piss
Probably the funniest I have ever read... Kudos.

Hmmm, kangertech only sells one atomizer head now for protank/evod and you cannot purchase the old ones anymore unless a store still has some residual stock. Generally I have seen people trying to use protank/evod coils in a knager mt3 or mt3s which are different than the evod/protank and will not work. Maybe you got the mt3s that looks exactly like an evod only taller???

Wow, im still laughing...

I've used both genuine and knockoffs with few problems (that I didn't cause myself).

Try this for a leaky coil. Pull the stem and grommet that covers the wick. Keep the existing flavor wicks, and add another strand of similar size using cotton or silica. Replace the stem, refill and let the new wicks soak a few. This may tighten the draw a bit, but it should alleviate the leaking problem.

Higher PG liquids are more prone to leaking problems and have always gotten additional wicks when I'm using them. It's also true that the new universal replacement coil manufactured by KangerTech don't work in some Evod clones. They do in others. I'm sure Kanger did this on purpose.

Good call on the pg content. Now that you mention it, I haven't leaked lately because I make my own juice now and its 50\50.

Same method worked for me.

I wouldn't say their knock offs but their not Kanger, depending... The quality of a genuine Kanger heads usually last longer if you notice your not getting 2 weeks out of a head and your wondering if their real or not than that would rise me suspicion

I have the same exact box as you do. I have no clue if they are real or not, but mine do have the ohm stamped on the coil for what that is worth.
