Ahhh - so it seems - sorry - That "he" was closest to Obama - Anyway - It does seem he has one - So he has probly used it -

How much would that picture be worth I wonder ?

You'll never see a picture of President Obama smoking his e-cig once they become banned. Although only one picture taken from a papparatzi photographer would be worth a lot of money.

Although that never stopped Presidents from enjoying those things that they deny the rest of us. Look at JFK and his Cuban Cigars as an example. Pierre Salinger was ordered by JFK to stockpile 1,000 cuban cigars and the day Salinger delivered 1200 of them, JFK signed into law the Cuban embargo. Effectivally banning the cigar and any imports from Cuba into the US.

So if any US distributors of e-cigs get a large order to be sent to 1600 Pennsilvania Avenue, you'll know what's going on. :D

True, we dont know the exact health implications of inhaling the ecig cocktail repeatedly over a prolonged period of time, but PG has been used for decades in food items, including soda pop. So, it's been widely consumed in large quantities by the general public for an extremely long time. I do realize that ingestion and inhalation are two different things; just saying...
This could proably be said about nicotine too which is in several vegetables (tomato, cabbage, etc). Public has been consuming these for a very long time. All those poor tomato addicts, they should be heard too!!! :)

I'm not denying any of that. I'm just saying that there isn't any research specific to chronic usage of PG vapor over an extended period. I firmly believe such research would show that it's essentially harmless, but that's not the point I was making.

True there is no "specific research" for this "specific use" - no one here suggests that there is - Just an awful lot of very similar activities that have not shown problems. No one is making any "scientific claims" that it is 100% safe - Still - as you said it is extremely unlikely that it is harmful when each ingredient HAS been tested separately and found to be safe - People who work in the entertainment/club/theater areas have been inhaling buckets full of this stuff for many years in the form of Fog Machines - The actors/theater/film-workers unions would have been all over any negative health effects of inhaled PG by now if any existed - I myself have spent countless hours over the years standing in huge clouds of the stuff - Never hurt me any :) We are just folks chatting in a forum -= Why is there such sensitivity to be so exacting in our language about our personal assessment of PG's safety record? - We are not selling the stuff or applying for FDA approval - Just talking - Like the "IMO" that so many feel the need to tag things with - Well OF COURSE it is only an opinion - This is not a scientific journal it's a public users forum - it should be obvious that it is MY opinion - because I am writing it - If we have to take the time to say "There has been no scientific study to confirm or deny the information stated in this post. It is only my informed opinion of the situation" To every comment we make - we'd be here typing forever - IMO should be a given in this setting  LOL

As stated with the fog machine example - That sure seems to count as a long term record of habitual inhalation - IMO ;)

Not to mention PG being used since the 1950s as a spray and/or vapor-based air disinfectant in hospitals and other public places! I'm not even going to give the cites here, as I've done it so many other times before.

Yeah, but you don't breath Lysol directly into your lungs a few dozen times a day, do you? And yet it's considered safe for the kind of use you're talking about above.

I'm just saying that we need to remember that we don't have specific testing yet, so it's not exactly accurate to claim that there's no danger. We don't know for certain yet.
