I just watched a youtube video by GrimmGreen about screwdriver. I was mostly wanting to know what the differences are between the 905 and the SD. I see now that one of them is the bottom button.

Other than the button placement, can anyone tell me what some other differences might be? They look VERY much alike.

The ScrewDriver does not have a flashing LED - some of us hate them :D

The ScrwDriver does not fry if you put the battery in the wrong way.

The ScrewDriver does not have blerdy Automatic Self Clean - the SD user is quite capable of deciding whether they want to do this by simply pressing the button as and when required.

The ScrewDriver does not have a plastic collar .

The ScrewDriver MK 1 HAS a full service and back up facilities available to its buyers.

The DSE 905 comes with a original DSE 901 Atomiser ........
Most ScrewDriver users prefer the RN4075 type as they are hotter and have more hit.

If you have a faulty atomiser the spring in the SD MK 1 will melt, but everything else will remain intact and your battery wont blow up.
What will hapen to the 905 is anyones guess, I am sure sooner or later we will find out .

I'm pretty sure he changed his mind about his opinion on the switch position after he had used it for a while i could be wrong but hopefully he's following this thread and can answer you himself.

The thing is i don't think the bottom switch would work well on a lot of designs but on the screwdriver i think it does its the way it sits in your hand and the button feels naturally placed after a day or two of use.

the batterys are new as well for the mk11 screwdriver they custom made and double protected so they are extra safe plus worry free they have a little more capacity and seem to perform at their best a lot longer than other 14500 900 mah batterys i have used in box mods.

the screwdriver is a solution to smoking you buy a high quality device once and get rewarded with a high quality device that gives good performance and keeps you off the analog cigarettes and with a battery that lasts all day.

Theres a lot of others PV's you can buy and i have no doubt some are just as good and worth the money.

Just don't let 10 minute reviews on the Internet and hype on forums persuade you that the cheapest option is the best.

i don't think i should post on this thread again as I'm starting to sound like a sales rep for the screwdriver:)

All the best
Andy

I loved the screwdriver , and i did sell it after about 1 solid month of use... i was new to vaping and didn't "get it" at the time of that video.

about 3 months later i purchased another SD and it's the best decision i have made yet , when i get frustrated with any other device i can whip out the SD and have a great vaping experience. Never had a lick of trouble with the SD

just my 2cents

Seeing all these people jump to defend the SD makes me laugh a little.

I'll give Trog credit for great customer service, as he apparently has very loyal customers lol

I'm not criticizing the SD by any means, my point in my last post was simply that paying 4 times as much for a SD vs a 905 would be crazy. And even if my SD DID need to be serviced... how much would it cost me to send it in and get it fixed? Half the cost of another 905? Being in the U.S. I don't know, but I'm guessing it would be quite a bit.

If you've used both and feel the SD is worth paying the extra $120 over the 905 then by all means, do a review/comparison of the two for us. All these SD owners criticizing the 905 without using one just looks to me like they are trying to justify to themselves the higher cost they already paid.

Just my two cents

Not sure where to post this but mods can move it... *WARNING* The DSE 905 screwdriver can BURN you. A couple of people, myself included have sustained minor burns. While it is a great vaping device and I can in no way compare it to the original SD or Ciscos device, one must swich off the battery power button on the end of the unit when not in use or even when putting the device down for a few moments because what happens is, that when placed down on a flat surface the manual button can accidently depress and the user will be unaware until he/she picks it up and touches the shiny steel neck of the device which will be red hot or if there is juice in the mouthpiece it will be enough to burn the skin of the mouth. (yep, I'm not a ......, but I've picked dead skin out of my mouth and placed a thumb under cold water :D) Now I think that is how the device is activating by itself rolling over onto the manual switch but it might be something else. Anyway, you've been warned.

Jwood.....Do you own a 905? Then if you do let us know what you think of it, how it performs in comparison to the SD...:)

Nope, don't own either and don't plan to. Notice I am not criticizing either devices quality, simply the price for what is literally nothing more than a fancy battery holder.

I'll stick to my $10 box mod that does the exact same thing. Did I mention my box mod charges via USB AND has a master power switch? :)

GrimmGreen i really hope you get to do a review on the new screwdriver MK11 and the DSE905 because i know in your reviews you tell it like it is :)

If it's good it's good but if it's bad you will say it. So many do reviews and praise the things they like about a PV but play down the negatives.Thats why many respect your opinions in the reviews.

All the best

I agree

wow thanks guys , believe me... i would love to get my hands on those devices and do a side by side ... as it stands i don't have either of them. And since i have a rule about soliciting vendors for free gear , I'll probably have to save up to get them... no big deal. Maybe soon
