Great Thread! :)

My name is Jeremy and I live in Orlando with wife of 9 years, 4yo son and 7 mo old daughter. I will be 35 next month and had smoked since I was 13. The first day I received my V4L starter kit was the last day I had a cigarette. That was a little over 2 months ago...so I am also fairly new here. I own a Graphic Design and printing company which I started 2 and a half years ago. When not working, I enjoy spending time with the family, playing cards, hanging out with friends, watching the Orlando Magic and Florida Gators and visiting ECF. :)

Hey Jeremy! You're the guy who did the ECF business cards right?! THX!

Here goes nothing...

My name is Peter and I turned 29 last Saturday (9/11... yeah... I know...)

I have been smoking since I was 15 or so but was one of the lucky ones when I upped and quit the day my 510 came into my possession! Haven't looked back since! Granted, that was less than 3 weeks ago but I'm still happy with my results.

I live in the part of Massachusetts that is neither Boston nor Cape Cod. I love it here in the western side of the state. I am currently a part-time college student (first time taking classes in over 10 years!) and also a struggling independent web consultant. I am hoping to eventually find a more rewarding (and CONSISTENT) line of work but I am happy enough leading my meager lifestyle. I share a HUGE farmhouse with 8 roommates one of which is my fiance. We both stopped smoking at the same time which I feel is quite the blessing since we are each others' support. Life is good up here in New England...

From my avatar you might guess that I am a Frank Zappa fan and you would be correct! From my screen name you might guess that I am a Monty Python fan and again you would be correct! Ummmm... I think that's about it. I would like to say, however, that I REALLY enjoy this forum! The people that I have interacted with have all been both knowledgeable and super friendly!

Hi Sheryl, sounds like you're really going thru some rough times, so sorry to hear that. It's gotta be tough not being able to do the things you love. Glad you're here and I pray things start looking up for you physically. Be blessed ~ Lanette

Well, guess its my turn....
Joe, aka "the big chief"..Im constantly "chiefin" on an e cig...it was an easy name.
Married 5 years, 1 older bro, one younger, one younger sis. I have 4 girls, (3 are mine, 1 step). yrs-10 (step), 4, 3, 1...(4-little fuss fuss, 3- lil squeek, 1- baby duecie)...im 31 this month, and I have 4 girls...and growing up I couldnt get a female to stand by me in a concession stand, now I got 5 that won't go away!...ok, im kidding...I did get a male dog to help even things out. But he's a pit/lab mix, and a true oompa loompa of a dog. But heaven forbid let someone come near this house. Hes mild manored, but a bark that scare you outta your skin, and has no prob getting mean if he thinks a family member is in trouble. So he's a good dog for the most part. But I swear he was human in a past life....
For me, Im an MMA kinda guy, grew up looking after the little guy, being a loner/dork. I was the bada** dork. Some would press their luck, and get sent home lookin different. I got into martial arts when I was 12 after watching "bloodsport"...and never looked back. The martial arts also cured the nightmares, as I started beating up some boogie men even in my dreams, and when I was falling from the sky, I started enjoying the ride. That helped with my self confidense, but still took years to work on me. It wasnt until I was 20 ish that I decided no more pity parties, and I'm going to build the life I want. My faith has kept me strong, and Ive seen some rough times..havent we all.
I figured out long ago I want to be a leader, and run companies. The kind of companies that takes care of their employees, gives benefits, allows a good life outside of work, gives back to the community, but mainly a place ppl love to work at, and maybe, just maybe have some fun while they earn a living...if I could only tell ya what I have planned.
Aside from that, God gave me a few specific gifts, aside from dashing good looks..discernment, giving, and the ability to teach, and understanding...and I mean deep understanding..its weird. I understand thought processes, and see things in ppl most others don't. I'm not sure what Gods plan is, but I hope were in line, cause its hard to give up a dream, but I understand that my plan might not be the best one, unless he says so, so I'm crossing my fingers.
As far as smoking goes, my mom smoked as long as I can remember. I started at 12-14..full time by 15 or 16. I was a 2 padder for 15 years ish. Brother had quite, and somone walked into his mortgage office smoking a "SE" brand, and he told me..so I took my happy little .... on down to the mall and saw the outragous price and went right back a week or two later. It sucked, but I was determined. By thanksgiving of last year, I had my SE, mom had a blue, and a greensmoke, so we passed em around in the smoke shack most ppl call a shed out at gramma's. By Christmas, mom had hooked me up with a mega titan kit I was eyeballing..nice little surprise. Cigs were done within 2 days for me..wifey a month later. Then came the SD just after new years and now I'm just plain "good" as far as "stuff" goes. I can run again..and when I can refocus on training, Id love to jump in a cage. But life is easy going these days, and I'm slowly working toward the dream. With 4 girls, its hard to stay focused and be sure they are raised to deal with this world and be productive in it.
E cig wise, Im diggin it...Im not so set on that whole "quitting" thing anymore...I love me a tasty vape, though Im down to 18 from 24 and 36 mg. I like hooking others up, cause maybe if mom hadn't have looked out for me, I wouldve given up. I'm glad to see my kids won't grow up in a smoke filled household...though my lil squeek already picked up mommas e cig and tried puffin..good thing its a manual...but its was SO darn cute...no really, it was the cutest "little woman" thing ive ever seen her do, even at 3.Teh littel "puffing" sound still echos in my ear. Its things like that, that has got me to slow down, and just enjoy the ride these days, instead of race to the finish line. Happy Vaping all. Geez I write a lot

Hey Big Chief Joe, I'll be praying for you on God's divine direction :). We have a small bible study at our home on Friday nights, it's grown from about 10 to over 30 at times....our house isn't getting any bigger but we're crowding them all in somehow....We have seen some wonderful things happening here, but mostly just everyone getting a tummy full of good bbqs and lots of hugs and laughter. Having others to share his good gifts with is helpful when we are going through hard times and we've seen some miraculous things happening. Just remember the desires of our heart, when aligned with a truthful seeking are many times nudges given by God.
Thanks for sharing :)

My joke is that I'm a neon sign, 2x4 upside the head girl in a world where God whispers. lol

4 girls! that's awesome!

Haha..some of the greatest things that God has spoken to me about were when I was sleeping....and they came to pass, guess you can't help but listen when you're sleeping.... I'm working on listening while awake :).

I've never really opened up before like this online but feel compelled right now.

Name is John, 46 y.o.a.
Been married 10 years and father of a beautiful and tender 7 y.o princess. She is my whole life and is the only reason I am around.

I have discoid lupus. I work security (guard, officer, flashlight cop, whatever you want to call it) at a children's hospital in St. Pete.
Would rather be doing something else but its a job, got benefits that are really good, and I'm afraid to leave as it is providing for the family. Plus the insurance can't be beat, especially for my daughter.

Before all that I spent 10 years as a fulltime working musician/pothead. Started out at 3rd rate beer joints, ended up with a band that got some air play, a little national level recognition, and was being eyed by several record companies. We were in SPIN magazine and got to open for many national acts (Third Eye Blind, Hootie and the Blowfish, Bare Naked Ladies).
But as with most every band out there, things fell apart, and after seeing now the real business was done, and doing it for so long I gave it up. Just got tired of doing it. I was looking at myself being in my mid 30's and wondering "where is my future leading me? Will I ever own my own home? Will I ever start a family?"

Started working security before things fell apart because it was a nightowl's job, doing graveyard shifts. Ended up working my way up to a management position with a company. Then had some marital problems that F'ed everything up and got separated for a time while wife was pregnant. I came back wanting to do the right thing but wonder if it was a good idea.
All I know is there is no better feeling or event in my life than waking each and everyday and hugging my beautiful baby. In the end makes it all worthwhile for me.

Geez, now I remember why I don't talk about it, I sound like a total piece of s**t.

Started vaping in July, smoke free since starting. PIF is actually not new to me. Am a member of another forum of really honorable people. There it's referred to as making good karma and passing it on. Guess thats what drew me to PIF. Gives me a good feeling helping others. There have been some I helped outside of PIF section. Kinda like it that way, out of the spotlight.
Have also had others hook me up and I feel that the best way to repay them for their kindness is to do the same for others.

I finally got my GLV2,I saved up a long time and its so worth it!Its awesome! It made vaping way better.I use 808 cartos.I like them, though alot of peeps dont.
Well,thats it.Now ya know me!
And you love pink! Or at least that's what I've gleaned from the chit-chat thread... thanks for indulging me and posting a bit about yourself. :)
Oh i love this thread... :)

I'm Pammie ( or Pamela Ann when my mom used to be ...... at me ) I'm 53 divorced and took care of my mother who had alzheimers until her death in 2007. I have a 29 year old son named Jordan. And, i have bassets...2 at the moment but have had 4 at one time. I did rescue for awhile, but i honestly cannot keep up with 4 big dogs. So...the 2 is plenty for me.

I started smoking when i was 15 and quit last year when i discovered the vape. I have a few health issues but basically i have a good life and the bassets of course make it so much more fun.

I work long 12 hour shifts...usually i work 2 days and 2 nights..then off 4. Thats why I'm usually on really late at night..because I never know when im suppost to sleep !

Anyways.thats me :) Good to meet ya'll.
I'm a fellow basset lover, as you already know. I'll have to find a pic of my beloved Clyde someday and scan it in to show ya.
I'm so sorry about your mom... alzheimers/dementia is my biggest fear about growing old. It's so hard, on both the patient and the caregivers... it's a wonderful thing that you took care of her.
I'm a bit of a night owl myself, so you might see me around on your odd nights up!
Blue...excellent thread! What a great idea.

Hi all I'm Cheryl. I'm not telling my age, just that I'm older than all of ya. Single mom of 4 boys (I started young too), 30,28,24,20 and grandma of one boy....6, the cutest little chit you'd ever see. Ok, so I'm a bit partial.

Work a full time job and love what I'm doing just not where I'm doing it. I'm sure those that have been around will notice that I tend to be a little quiet. Very shy, I usually don't just jump in and chat.

Started vaping the end of July with no intention of quitting the analogs. Then I found myself grabbing the ecig more than the analog so I though I'd give it a try and so far so good. I quit August 11th. Have only pif'd a couple of times but am willing to help out when I can.

It's nice to read about all of you. Thanks for that.
Thanks for chiming in and giving us a chance to know you! 4 boys... holy cow! You earned your merit badges, didn't ya?
Your story about how you didn't even intend to quit smoking originally gives me hope. I SO want the "analogs" out of our lives!
