A friend in need

Hey all,

I just started vaping a week ago to this day and it's been so incredible I can't even believe it! I'm a member of about 8-10 online forums for different things and this community is amazing and specifically the PIF forum has really touched my heart.

Last night I picked up my friend Seth to go to an AA (alcoholics anonymous) meeting. We are both recovering alcoholics/addicts and got sober about 10 months ago. It's been the single best decision I have made in my life. If anyone has any questions about recovery PM me PLEASE! I would love to help if I can.

Anyways, Seth has been trying to quit smoking for about 5 years and has never been able to do it. He's much older than I am and is starting to have some very negative health consequences from smoking. He also is a severe MS (multiple sclerosis) sufferer. He lives off disability and has very little money. Last night aa AA friend gave him a MUCH needed microwave and funny enough it's still in my trunk because we forgot about it when I dropped him off last night . I'm going to be bringing it to him later tonight.

Back to the point . I showed him my new e-cig and he ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. He was AMAZED, just like I was when I first tried it. I had a very tough time getting it back once I gave it to him LOL .

The reason I'm posting this thread is because I don't have the means to buy Seth a PV and he really doesn't have any option of getting one. He buys rolled cigarettes right now and can't afford a bulk payment for an e-cig. I feel kind of weird asking, but can anyone help him out in getting an e-cig? He has had a pretty tough life and he is an amazingly grateful person. He doesn't have much and this would mean the absolute world to him. I just bought a 510 and a KR808d-1 for my girlfriend and I. Both my girlfriend and I prefer the 510 so that's what were going to be sticking with. I'm going to return the 808 so I can buy cartomizers and a charger for her. I figure I could provide Seth with juice and cartomizers but I cant afford to buy him a battery and charger so it would really be helpful if I could get him a PV that would be compatible with 510 cartomizers.

YAY!!! What is a box mod and what is a mutli-charger lol? He doesn't really leave his complex much, but when he does it takes him awhile to get anywhere because he doesn't have a car. I figure I'm going to probably hook him up with a PCC in a few weeks when I can afford it.

I just called him to ask him when I can bring the microwave over. He was really excited I also asked him how much money he can throw into this and he said $10 a month Apparently his neighbor hooks him up with smokes when he doesn't have money for them. Maybe I could get his neighbor to start vaping

Multi charger charges all the different batteries...at least it charges all of mine... lol...Good idea ..maybe Ken can make one...Awesome! you have a charger so far...

I would send batteries and chargers but I don't really have extra joye 510 stuff. If you aren't picky, a member here can build him a box mad.. thats this: 2xAA Box Mod - For maybe 10$ shipped to him. If debb can suppoly the multi charger (which charges the batteries for the box mod,) I will buy him two batteries from madvapes. That's a complete set up minus juice and atomizer/cartomizer.

Edit: If he's good about keeping the batteries charged, one should last him on any errands he has to run. A box mod on one 14500 battery lasts me about 3 hours. Constant vaping. And I'll buy him two of them, unless someone has some spares to donate. We'll see how much people have. If someone has some spare batteries.. I'll donate juice.

I also have a brand new regular 510 atomizer that I definitely won't use so consider that his.

He might get by on juice for that.(with a little help from you)..or you guys can try DIY..a little later...

and I will throw in some juice when I send the charger... ...I might be able to come up with atty or carto too..

BTW..I absolutely love the plain ole box mods...I just bought one...

I just talked to him again and he is PUMPED!!!! He's like are you sure they're not going to send me a bomb lol. It's almost too good to be true! Man I gotta say too, he really deserves it. He's spent the last 6 hours taking buses around to meet with his sponsees and go over the big book of AA.

WOW!!! I cannot believe the response from this! I don't really know what he would like juice. I don't think he'd be very picky. He tried my strawberry and tobacco cured from johnson creek last night and liked them both. I know he smokes regulars (rolling tobacco) so I don't think he would have a huge preference. He always used to have this certain candy but I cant remember what it was. He had to stop eating cause his teeth went bad I read to him a couple of the posts. LOL I don't think he believed me. He was kind of skeptical. I can't wait to see his amazement when he actually gets the stuff! He did say however that he would prefer something that "feels like a cigarette" in his hand.

I would be willing to paypal a few bucks as a gift to help the cause. I haven't been vaping long enough really to collect any spare parts. I would have donated 15 cartomizers if I knew about this yesterday, but I sold them to a member here yesterday.
