Getting a flavor out of an atty?

Hey all. I've been vaping for just over a week now, started with an SS No. 7 (which was OK except for a battery that won't charge), and just got myself a 510 kit.

I also received my flavor sampler pack from Johnson Creek and the first one I tried out was the Chocolate Truffle. Nice flavor, but it seems to have infected my atomizer and now no matter what flavor I put in a cartridge it ends up tasting of the Chocolate.

Any tips on how to get a flavor out of an atomizer?

Also, I'm wondering how well washing out my cartridges would work. I only ordered a 5-pack of blanks for now (at least until I get paid again or something) and I would like to try a couple more of these flavors without having them mix with the menthol I'd been using with 3 out of the 5 cartridges.

I had the same problem. I have 2 attys which 1 I use only for menthol cause its so strong. the other i would blow it out and dry overnight on a paper towel and when i use it, i add 2-3 drops direct drip. seems to work and taste better when switching flavors. I do want more attys just for the different flavors.
try doing a search on attys, maybe there is something else you may want to try.

In your bushes, watching you undress
Just blow it out and drip the new flavor direct as posted above.

Don't go soaking it in alcohol, soda, vodka, etc, running it under scalding water or anything like that... you will destroy the atty.

If this doesn't do it well enough for you, do it again but run it under your faucet for a minute (warm water, not hot), then blow it out again and allow to air dry for a while, then re-drip and try again.

Actually EverClear grain alcohol will take out a flavor quickly, remove scorched taste (burning taste from running the atty too dry) and evaporates quickly out of the metal bridge material so you can get right back to vaping.

It is the only cleaning method I use and most of my atomizers have run to be about 4 months old!

Never use ISO alcohol. You can use a good high alcohol content Vodka if you can't get EverClear.

Yeah, unfortunately Everclear is banned for sale in the state I live in. I may have to take a trip to the liquor store once I get paid to find some high-proof vodka...though I'm not sure how much of it will make it into cleaning the atty :D

I'll try blowing out my spare atty and seeing if that works, but it seems like if I just use it long enough the flavor is starting to fade from my main one.

Any idea on whether washing out carts works?
