Wrong forum maybe ?? (Im still a newb sry)

Got my standard Kanger Evod starter kit today http://www.szkanger.com/product_d1.asp?idd=94&ids=6&SortID=29&id=29&ord=102 Its a nice kit but the vapor from it is really cold and I mean really cold even if I take really slow drags.

Been reading around little about ohms and variable batts to fix this problem, Im not looking huge amounts of heat but I would like some heat.

Been looking at the spinner batts Vision eGo Spinner Battery Variable Voltage 1300mAh : Vision Electronic Cigarette, Original Manufacturers is this a good buy and will it help out with the heat ?? If I got a spinner batt what coil ohm would you recommend ??

Or anyother ideas to fix this problem without spending huge amounts of cash?

Which coils did you get?
The 1.8ohm coils should provide a fairly warm vape, even with a fixed voltage battery. Unless otherwise noted, it probably has the 2.4 (2.2?) ohm coil from the factory.

I use vision spinner 1300s and 1.8ohm Evods for my daily gear. That's about as good as it's going to get, at least as far as easy gear goes.

I can use the 2.4ohm coils at 4+v, but normally stick to the 1.8s (usually around 3.7ish volts, although I crank it up a bit higher once in a while).

ETA: If I was able to start from the beginning, knowing what I know now, I'd buy several evods and a couple of spinners as my starter kit. There are better things out there, but this is an easy combo to use, it's economical, and it's just about as versatile as you need if you care to wrap your own coils.

I got 2.4ohms coils with it.

It says in the manual 1.8ohms is too low for Evod 3.7v fixed voltage battery. 2.2 ohms is the lowest recommend for the 3.7v Evod battery.

I've been using a 1.8 Ohm coil with my standard EVOD kit. It works fine and the vape is warmer. According to Ohm/Volt charts I've seen, 1.8 is safe up to 3.9 volts.

Lower resistance coils cause a higher drain on the battery, but a 1.8 shouldn't cause any problems. I used them with my regular eGo batteries for several months, after which I upgraded to the spinners (and still continue to use them...).

Can you get one to try at a local shop, or do you have to mail-order everything?

So i should go with a spinner and 1.8 ohms ??

Yes. The 1.8 ohm coils will give you a warmer vape, even on the EVOD battery, and the Spinner will allow you to adjust the voltage to make it even warmer, or turn it down, if you feel that the vapor is too warm.

Try the 2.4 ohm coils on the Spinner battery first, just to feel the difference that variable voltage can make. You will be surprised. :)

If you have the option, I suggest trying a 1.8 coil on your existing battery. If it's better, but you still need a slight bump, then I'd step up to the spinner.

How long have you been vaping?

2 weeks but I hate the cold vape...

I made a budget before I got into this for this month and Im still well within that budget atm. Im gonna get a 1300 spinner they are on sale and some 1.8ohms see if it works.

thanks everybody for all the help.

Get a couple of additional 2.4s as well; there's no telling what your final preference will be.

Also, start with your voltage down low; it's quite possible to burn your e-liquid if it's cranked up too high.

Last note: some e-liquids are better at lower temps, some at higher temps. It varies based on a number of factors, so make sure you run up and down the range with each liquid.

I got 5 in the kit so I have 7 2.4 in total. Gonna order some wick and wire to and have a go at building some too.

I know you've already made your decision, BaDa, but I felt like weighing in..I have a couple of Spinners and a couple of Evod BCC clearomizers. I've used both the 1.8 ohm head and the 2.4.
With the 1.8 ohm heads, my juice (as in all of 'em!) tastes burnt if I turn the Spinner up above 3.9-4.0 volts.

With the 2.4 ohm heads, no matter how high I crank the Spinner, the juice doesn't taste burnt. I never turn the Spinner (or my Sidewinder or my Twist) up above 4.5 volts. Don't really need to. CaveDiver up there is right..some juices taste great at 4.2 volts, some are better at 4.5, some shine at 4.0 volts.

What I don't like about the 1.8 ohm BCC heads is that, with those, I'm limited to 3.7 - 3.9 volts on the battery.

Done. I'll shut the hell up now..;)
