Getting a lot of "burnt" flavor

I'm using a Phiniac tank and LR Boge cartos. Previously I was using a homemade raspberry lemonade juice that was around a 70/30 pg/vg blend that worked great with no problems. After that I wanted to try a 60/40 blend of Heaven's Nectar from Ljsesmokes.com. After I punched 2 holes using a carto punch and filling the tank, I got 2-3 good draws off of it and then after that nothing but burnt flavors. I tried doing some dry draws to get more juice into the carto but that didn't seem to make any difference. I don't know if my holes aren't big enough or if its the Boge carto that's defective.

Is it better to slot holes for juices with higher VG? Or am I doing something wrong? It's starting to get very frustrating.

The only tank I have with subpar juice delivery is one with Boba's Bounty, a 100% vg juice. Even after diluting some with water and having 4 holes punched (2 low, 2 high), it is still a stiff draw and regularly requires a couple of dry pulls before vaping. It's not one of my frequently used juices, so it doesn't bother me a lot, but I always think I should maybe try slotting the carto for even more juice delivery to the coil.
