I don't know how heavy you folks watch the F@H scene. but if you are not aware the core 17 GPU folding work units are moved out of beta and into advanced.

i know you are thinking... what the heck does that mean!

Core 17 is a new work unit that provides a quick return bonus on GPU folding. If you have a a Fermi GPU or better (nvidia 400 series and higher) or ATI cards: HD5000 and higher.

They have a quick return bonus and are faster and more points than the older work units.

For instance a GTX 660 TI will get around 70k PPD while a new gtx 780 will get around 180 - 200 k PPD.

In order to get the core 17 work units you need to edit your gpu slot and add

client-type
advanced

Here is a link to a tutorial i made on how to do just that.

Is this normal now?

I am jinihammerer on the forums and in folding. I may need to change my name here to match as well.
