I vape with the smokers and I can attest, now that all my smell/taste capabilities are back, that it is brand dependent. Some "ladies slims" are very light and nice while some "men's regulars" smell like stale cigar.

I was a "slims" smoker for 30+ years... but when my next door neighbor, a marlboro smoker, would come over early to use our phone, I could be in the bed asleep (my husband would be up, dealing with the kid, on the weekends) and that marlboro would bring me straight up outta bed screaming for her to put that crap out! :D

I don't think they added the extra fire ......ant chemicals to cigarettes made in the Czech Republic, even though they are Marlboro. Anything to save a penny on manufacturing... I smell that stale smoke here, but not there...

Are you sure they make Marlboro's in the Czech Republic instead of importing them?
Oh, never mind. I just answered my own question. Altria spinned off Phillip Morris into
Phillip Morris International, which while headquarters are in New York City, N.Y.
their Operations Center is based in Lausanne, Switzerland. I don't know where their
European manufacturing plants are located.

BTW, Marlboro just introduced another brand which we can't discuss here.
But that search engine can be very friendly. (or I can send you a PM with a link to the article)

Oh, yeah, CR is one of the largest cigarette manufactures in Europe, along with Russia.
Made in Kutna Hora- just like my Golem...

I dunno... back in the 70s when I started smoking, it was still everywhere -- my mom and I even smoked in grocery stores until sometime in the 80s. But you should have smelled the stale reek in the girls' room at my high school... GAGAMAGGOT! At some point in the very early 80s, I had a part time job cleaning up a couple of bars, early in the morning before they opened for the day, and it was the same exact smell, along with the stale alcohol smell in the mats behind the bar. (just putrid! ugh!)

I started in '67, regularly in '69 and tried it long before then. It tasted and smelled completely different than now.
It wasn't very noticeable when I still smoked but it was noticeable.
There is a large difference between Marley's or other US Brands and imported ciggies which smell good
and still taste like cigarettes are supposed to.

To experiment, get a block of organically grown unprocessed tobacco,
shred and roll one up. Then after you start smoking again...be ticked off at me.
No, seriously, then get a pack of whatever brand of American smokes and compare.
You'll find as I did a major difference in smell and taste.

If the off duty police woman playing security guard (which is a BIG pet peeve for me) had been vaping instead of smoking
it wouldn't have been an issue for me, it was only because I was going through cigarette withdrawals and didn't need the smoke in my face.
Though frankly, second hand smoke has always bothered me, even when I smoked. However, had she been vaping it might well have
bothered someone else. That's my perspective. If a person has no choice but to walk through the front door of an establishment
that they have not only a right to walk through but a need (groceries) then the person shouldn't have to contend with either smoke or vapor.

The cop could have walked out in the parking lot where folks have a choice to walk around and away from her smoke
as I do while vaping while waiting for my wife when we go shopping.
To assert our rights while trampling other's does us no good.

I agree 100%. I think the most important factor to get vaping accepted into society is that both sides need to be nicer to one another and learn to live together instead of taking extreme positions and attacking each other. Quid pro quo and all that.

One thing I know for sure: the origin of these when bought in Havana from the factory's store.

858.jpg

Cool! A black Canadian chick..or do you wear nail polish, mon ami?
My wife went to Cuba to visit her relatives a couple of years back and while down there
she bought me a box of Cohiba's. I still have the empty box which I use for my..vaping supplies.

Legitimate, not clones. Her nephew, a doctor has connections at the factory.
Dude, (or dudette, not sure now with that nail polish :) I found Dominican cigars to be much better.

I had the doubtful pleasure of speaking with a cop (seems to happen a lot for the last couple of years)
while smoking one and the guy wanted to bust me for being in possession of a prohibited import.

I hate having to correct cops but it seems it's a god given mission.
You can bring in and possess TWO (2) boxes of Cuban Cigars as long as they're not for sale.
Considering the money she spent on the trip and stuff for her brother and wife, both doctors and her 2 nephews also doctors, all
starving, she could only afford to bring me one.
But, no beaver sweat, like I said, they weren't all that good anyway.

¡Dale! Exactly my friend. People in general need to be a little nicer to each other, not just smokers and vapers.
That's the most important factor in not blowing our planet up.
Be nice.

I agree, however the extreme positions are what many persist with. When they constantly try to tie vaping to every issue under the run it reeks of desperation. Instead of trying to resolve negative connotations around vaping many push very hard for the in your face game plan of I will vape anywhere I want until I'm forced I'm not to and because of that attitude others are pushing back to fight vaping and cast it into a unnecessary negative light.

Darn I'm slow today. First I mistook an old April Fool's prank for legitimate news and now it took me a whole minute to
figure out you were talking about Mr Cuervo, Bud Weiser and Mich E. Lob.

Hey I was just kidding about the Jose thing. In the first place I'm used to that type of thing when seriously used to try to
tick me off. Second, I don't get phased easily even though sometimes it may seem that way.
I wrote a poem once about smiling lovingly as I thrust my sword into an enemy...
Third, even if you were serious I wouldn't let it bother me 'cause I like you.
(though I only get hurt by people I care for..I tend to cut them more slack)

Jose can you see...See?
Anyway, I'm back. Nobody told me to not vape.
