1. Dump some PG Nic into your laboratory grade beaker.
2. Use a syringe to squirt in the right amount of PG.
3. Use that same syringe to squirt in the VG in the correct amount.
4. Put in some flavor, but only the tiniest drop, as a full drop will flavor a cake the size to fit an army.
OR
5. Put in some flavor. Should be something like 5% to 20% (yeah, that's 1 fifth) of the whole mixture.
6. Shake it up. Some groovy music will help the process.

1. I generally mix 5ml zero-nic test batches in a 6ml bottle, but even a shot glass will do.

2. Yup.

3. Yup. Don't forget to at least rinse out the syringe between ingredients - especially if you do flavoring with a syringe instead of a dropper as I do. I keep a big measuring cup of hot water in the mad scientist lab just for rinsing syringes and stuff.

4. Only if you're working with tobacco absolute.

OR

5. You might consider starting at 5% for non-tobacco flavors, 2% for tobacco flavors and way less than 1% for tobacco absolute - you can always add more.

6. You can quick-steep a mix by heating a cup of water in the microwave then drop your sealed bottle of juice in the water and leave it there for ten minutes or so.

And there is a #7. Take notes. Account for every drop of flavoring so you can learn from the bad stuff and recreate the good stuff you make completely by accident :)

I'm vaping my first test right now. It doesn't taste horrible, but it doesn't taste like I want it. I can't taste the apple very much, and the caramel is almost non-existent. I'll have to get it right. However, I noticed that these little bottles should last me a while. They don't seem like much, but if I vape 3ml a day, that's not a heck of a lot of ingredients. I made 2 for this test. I did make one huge mistake. I grabbed the 2nd bottle of nic instead of the pure pg. When I realized this, I dumped it all back into one of the bottles to start over. However, there had to be a couple of drops of nic residue still left in my bottle. I can feel that it's high concentrate of nic. Not killing high, just high.

I keep my nic in a square bottle and everything else in round bottles :D

I did a caramel apple I was reasonably happy with at 10% caramel and 10% apple but they were Lorann flavors and I don't know what you're using, so my suggestion may be completely worthless :)

If I did it again I'd probably add just a smidge of ethyl maltol to sweeten it up a bit.

go about 2-5% max gordon.some of the "fruit types" if u got any can be very potent..tob's I go about 8%

That's it. I'm changing my name to Max Gordon. It exudes power. The name's Michael, by the way. :) I'm not sure that this apple should be used that low. However, it may need steeping.

Wizard, Vapormist says that the Caramel is LorAnn's, and the Apple is PA's. I don't know what PA is, but I'll try the 10/10. How reasonable was yours? What would you change if you wanted to?

I'd probably add a bit of sweetener. Lorann's cotton candy is ethyl maltol in PG and highly recommended - 2% should do ya. I don't know whether PA apple is stronger or weaker than Lorann so I can't help much there.

A tip - caramel added to a tobacco flavoring can be pretty nice but it doesn't take much. I used to add 4% caramel to FlavourArt's RY4 - it made for a pretty nice vape.

OMG! I lost all my Max Headroom shows when I lost my hard drive last week. We're all pretty much the older crowd here, aren't we?

Pretty much. There is some bright young talent here, though :)

I'm thinking I'm just not liking this experimenting. I've resorted to just using one single flavor, and I keep on adding flavor to it, because I'm not liking what I have. I'm just trying to do something cotton candy. Maybe I just don't know what cotton candy taste like. Isn't just sugar with air whipped into it? Perhaps in the future, I should just order the flavors for someone else's recipe that looks appealing to me.

Cotton Candy (at Fairs etc) have flavoring depending on the color. The blue CC is Raspberry I think. The pink...Strawberry maybe, or Cherry. IDK. Someone else can chime in.

TPA has a Cotton Candy (Circus Style) flavor. Have you tried that one? It's different then her other Cotton Candy, which is EM. The Circus style one taste different. Touch of sour in it IMO.

I don't know. Actually, I mixed up some butterscotch yesterday. I had a co-worker try it, and he hit the nail on the head with "butterscotch". I asked him on a scale of 1 to 10 for flavor, and he said 7. So, this sort of indicates to me that it's all about me. Cinnamon and mint are the only distinguishable flavors, really.

Does anyone have their own mix of something that they consider to be absolutely fantastic? Flavorful? Preferably sweet? I'd like to try someone else's out to see if there's anything that I could be doing wrong.

Otherwise, I'm thinking of vaping flavorless for a few months, and then going back to trying them out again. Maybe it's my taste buds. I'd like to find out for sure, though.

Hey, K3vin. You think your so 133t. I'm kinda looking for a ml or 2 of someone's juice that thinks they did a wonderful job in mixing, so I can tell if I think it's wonderful. You know what I mean? If someone has something that taste good, and I try it, and taste nothing more than what I taste with everything, then I know that I just can't taste things.

one more thing.

Yeah, I'm giving it another go right now with straight up butterscotch. I was only doing 2 mls before, I changed it to 5. However, I have this 10 ml bottle from madvapes, and the supposedly 5 mls doesn't cover half the bottle. Oh well, it's in the correct proportions. I'm just doing drops. This time without nic to start, and I'm quick steeping it. We'll see. I'm starting with a low percentage of flavor. I'll still vape anything I make. I'm mostly concerned right now that I just can't taste anything. However, the Waffle from madvapes taste pretty good, and different from anything I mixed.
