...

I heard drops vary from types of syringes/droppers and it confuses me. [/COLOR]

Yes, Drop Sizes vary.

The Biggest Factors of Drop Size is how Big the Opening of the Dropper is and How Thick or Thin (the Viscosity of a Fluid) your e-liquid is.

A very Small Syringe Needle with a Very Thin Liquid, like Pure PG, will make a Very Small Drop. Where as a Jumbo Eye Dropper with a Thick Liquid, like Pure VG, will make a Relatively Large Drop.

But what is Crazy is that Drops are Actually a Very Accurate Measurement. Meaning, the Volume of a One Drop to Another, for the SAME Size Dropper and the SAME Viscosity Liquid, is Astonishingly Close.

The Key to using Drops in a Repeatable Recipe is you have to use the Same Size Dropper each time for an given Liquid.

All my recipes are worked up in Milliliters for Nicotine Base, PG and VG. And Drops for Flavoring. It works and is Repeatable because All My Flavorings came out of the Same type Size Dropper. All my Flavorings are kept in 10ml Glass Boston Dropper Bottles.

I wish I could turn drops into percentages :D

I like drops if I'm mixing 5ml but for 15 or 30 it can be a pain in the rear.

Oh, ZoiDman I think I get it. Do I use the original recipe and see how many drops used that equal ml using my dropper? Maybe I don't get it.

I would suggest that if you are new to DIY, than you should use ml for Everything. It's kinda a PITA to use a Syringe for measuring and to wash, but it's not that bad.

Get a few Recipes perfected and enjoy making New Flavors.

Once the Mystery of DIY is gone, and you realize that you don’t need to Measure as Accurately as some would make you think, then consider using a Graduated Cylinder for Nicotine Base and VG|PG. And Drops for Flavor.

Yeah, you can measure how many Drops are in 1ml for a Given Dropper/Liquid.

Do you have a Good way to measure ml like a Graduated Cyclinder?

I think you will find that Flavoring is about the same as Water. So you can measure Water in an Eye Dropper which is easier that using Flavoring.

I definitely think ml's make it easier to copy a recipe. For my own mixes I don't mind using drops but if I'm following someone else's mix it can get confusing. Especially because I like to kick my flavors up a notch.

I don't have a graduated cylinder. I just have 3ml syringes and a ton of 1ml syringes. The 1ml syringes work really well.

I was thinking about getting a graduated cylinder but I've been procrastinating. :)
