Where Can I Get A......? Getting PV Part, but not getting Ripped off.

Okay, I've noticed that everyone has there own little online stores they get parts from. But where really is the best places to get PV parts?

For instance.

I can get a 510 atty from almost anywhere. But what if I'm just buying complete crap and have no idea? FYI I see places I can get attys for 6.99 (volcano) and others for 14.99 (totally wicked)?

batteries? Same deal. ect. ect.

I have yet to see a thread that has a go to list of diffrent online vendors who sell quality stuff. Broken down by exactly what brand of part they are selling. It would be nice to compile everyone's knowledge into one go to place.

It's a great idea. In theory. However, everyone prefers a different model. Some places run specials. Some have discount codes. Place A may have Joye302 batt's at a better price, but you might pay a higher shipping, so if Place B had a better deal on an SLB 510 atty you wanted, but slighter higher price on the Joye batt, yet a lower shipping cost, you could be better off buying BOTH at place B. Then of course return policy, customer service, shipping times, all can play a part in it too.

You might be better off researching WHAT exactly it is that you are specifically looking for. I researched 801's (did a review of the models in the review section) and after I decided which model I wanted, then I had to research the best place for each one (yes I got 4 models of the 801, there are 5, I believe). As it turned out.. although one of these places had the best "price" on that particular model, it has NOT turned out to be the best deal. The PV arrived in "non-working" condition, and I'm not having such an easy time returning it (we shall see how it pans out).

It's all a YMMV kinda thing. Just like shopping anywhere else.

Welcome and yes, it would be nice to have a complete source of dealers with the lowest prices, but like most things, and especially buying over the web, I go by what the more experienced members here buy...I hope there will be a day you can go to the local Wal-Mart and buy what one's needs...Would sure save on shipping....and waiting time for your product...Just wishfull thinking....take care...
