Getting ready for Just GG

Klepto get red AW IMR's all across the board they are good and reliable. For cleaning the ultrasound cleaner is the best but you don't need it for just one JustGG. A mixture of hot water, dishwashing liquid and some white vinegar and a toothbrush does the trick. You'll need obviously a supply of silica wick 2mm & 3mm and resistance and non resistance wire. Also get some Vaseline for the o-rings

Wait.. I have read that petroleum jelly "Vaseline" can be bad for O-rings, as it can break them down and deteriorate them. That is why people don't use Vaseline on their Rubiks Cubes or flashlights.

To a certain extent this is true , but modern materials allow orings to be very very chemically resistant , this doesn't mean that petroleum jelly won't break them down , although it would take years . Your best option is food grade silicon grease if this concerns you , just make sure neither types of grease are applied to areas where juice comes in contact .

Which is perplexing as well. Isn't the idea of the o-ring to keep juice where is needs to be?
I just use the juice to lube it up, the o-rings are going to be getting on them anyways, no use in preventing it. I am sure the juice will break it down as well but it eliminates me buying other stuffs and limiting the stuffs I ingest via vaping. Just my thoughts.

I have been using vasoline on my GG O-rings since I bought my first almost 3 years ago. I have never had to replace an o-ring due to breakdown or the like. I have lost a couple here and there over the years though.

On a personal note I never lube my oddy orings , been using it for about a year now and orings are fine , like you said juice will suffice as a lubricant . As for my ufs ? Without lubrication it does not play well . Your milage may vary . the thing to take away with you is that orings are very cheap to replace and they last a long time when there is little friction (lube or no lube)

I always vape my latest model, so every 4-5 months I change my devices. I never lubricate o-rings and I never had a problem with them at this amount of time

I only lubricate when I see that o-ring is stiff and my GG needs more power to screw in the right way and that happened only on UFS as supa said. But we can put smaller o-rings on UFS so problem can be solved.

Vaseline is safe Fitzy however if you're not too happy using it that's fine get some food grade silicon grease.

You said earlier though to not let it get to where your juice will touch it, what will happen if it does?
and if I am coming across rude or disrespectful please let me know.

Sorry for the double post, I didn't notice it posted on the other page.... DERP

Genuine questions are never rude buddy. I didn't say it shouldn't touch your juice that was someone else, and frankly I disagree with that. It's perfectly safe to apply a light coat of Vaseline on your o-rings even if they touch your juice. Nonetheless if you're not comfortable doing that as I mentioned earlier just use a food grade silicon grease

Awesome, I am afraid that my basic feed o-ring in my Ithaka may be ruined due to my neglect for lube it, stretched that is. I was lubing it with my e-liquid and completely forgot that one :/

its not bad if o-ring touch the liquid Fit. The bad thing is if the lubricant touch the liquid and only if the lubricant is not safe. If you feel unsafe with vaseline, just use oil

How many o-rings in total are contained in Just GG? What are the sizes? Will it come with spares, or will kits be available eventually?

For an atty, I lube with only a film of vegi cooking oil like canola when rings are brand new. Thereafter just e-juice makes 'em slippery again. Inside Mods I prefer a film of mineral oil, since vegi can become sticky over time.

I used to use vasaline but heard vics vapor rub winds up in your lungs and stays for the rest of your life... yet supposedly doesn't harm you. Same reason cotton wicks are more apealing than silica or other ceramics.

BTW if I am coming across as rude or disrespectful please let me know, I don't mean to be.

It was me who said it , and yes its important with any device not to have anything touch your eliquid . without some very expensive testing you just don't know ( although I think I am being a little paranoid ). like the creator himself said , no need to lube . :)
