My girlfriend and I now each proudly own a mech mod, an IStick 50w, and Subtank Minis... What a difference! Safe to say I will never use an ego device or cheap clearo again! My only regret is waiting so long to upgrade to decent equipment.
$46 a piece (shipped) for the ISticks, $30 a piece (shipped) for the Minis, about $32 total for two mechanical clones, and about $45 for three 18650s and a charger. I spread it out a bit so it wasn't a huge strain and I definitely think that I will actually end up saving money in the long run due to the better longevity... Now we're set with great portable devices and backup mechs for periods of charging/ when ISticks eventually fail/ random occasions.
If anyone else is considering upgrading from second gen cheap stuff I definitely agree with the overwhelming opinion that was given to me -- IStick and Subtank Mini. Portable, powerful, sexy.
The only negative (and positive) is that we're both vaping more now because we're enjoying it that much more!
I think my next purchase will be a full-fledged rba/RTA... Maybe a kayfun clone or something similar.
