I am a GUY from L.A. not girl. lol
^ thanks a lot. I'm liking the idea of 2.5 ml mega ego cartridges, and I have no idea how much juice a riva cartridge holds, so i'm leaning more towards the ego. My girlfriend doesn't vape as madly as me lol so maybe a regular ego starter kit and a mega ego starter kit.

i'm not seeing a starter kit for an xl or xxl ego on greenhouse so i'll have to see which place ends up being the best deal, but thanks for the link.

how much bigger is the 1000ma xxl battery compared to a 900m mega xl battery and the regular 650ma ego battery?

btw thank you so much. helping a ton!

Hmm. I just looked at the greenhouseone forum and they don't have the link up for the xxl kit upgrade. Maybe it was just a one time sale. I would contact Tim@greenhouseone.com and see what he can do for you. Maybe it's not available anymore, maybe it is. The XL is 3/4" longer than the standard eGo, not sure about the xxl as I don't have one. GP has free eGo mega cartos w/ their eGomaniac kit. Pretty good deal, though I don't know if you can get free shipping to canada. Also, first order gets a free 30ml bottle of juice. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...eive-free-30ml-bottle-liquid-your-choice.html http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/good-prophets/117523-free-ego-cartomizers-ego-maniac-kit.html

healthcabin has a sale on ego's so i'm gonna look at heavens-gifts, eastmall, greenhouse and coupon codes and figure out what the cheapest option is. i don't mind getting a few extra 510 atomizers in the starter kits, but i doubt i'll use my huge stockpile of 510 parts now. oh well, they will make good gifts :)

if anyone knows of any riva cartridges that hold anywhere near as much as the 2.5 ml mega ego cartridges i will look more into the riva, but from where i stand right now it's looking like an ego starter kit, a mega ego starter kit, 4 mega atomizers and 30 mega ego cartridges.

should i grab more than 4 mega atomizers? i'll have 4 batteries and they DO burn out so maybe i should make it 6? how reliable are the mega ego atomizers compared to regular 510 atomizers?

ooooh good to hear about the mega ego atty fitting on the riva, although maybe not so good as my research continues lol

just how bad are the ego buttons? how often do they stick?

that seems to be the only thing putting the riva above the ego, as well as the price although it seems the riva isn't built as well and i want RELIABILITY!

I haven't ever had mine stick. I've only heard of one or two who have. I think the main complaint is that the eGo button is hard concave plastic, and the Riva is convex rubber, making it more comfortable.

thanks, and do you agree that 6 mega atomizers for 4 batteries is the way to go? or 8? i was thinking 4, but i've had issues with 510 atty's in the past and i have no idea how reliable the mega atty's are compared to regular ol 510 atty's

I just started w/ the mega attys, so I don't know about the long gevity. But I feel comfortable w/ my 5. They look alot beefier, and I haven't heard of anyone killing one yet. BTWm myfreedomsmokes has them still in stock I believe, and the run @$6.50 w/ the "smoke" coupon.

thanks, i think 8 might be a good idea, 4 for me and 4 for my gal. or another way to look at it is 2 atty's for each battery. seems to be a written rule that at least 1 extra atty for each battery.

i also realize i can use low resistance atomizers on an ego!

so basically this provides more vapor, but dont last as long as regular atomizers?

so many options...but i love it!

i also read here...:

(post 68)

...that the mega ego cartomizers can last a long time if you keep them moist.

At a little over $10 for a 5 pack seems like a steal over mega atomizers and cartridges

but you need a syringe or the condom method to fill them? haven't even looked into the condom method, just heard of it.

Syringe is the only way. I have a 5ml syringe w/ an 18ga blunt tip needle that GP threw in. Look up that post in the GP forum on the cartos. It's a wealth of info.

Ya three 510 starter kits, 3 extra batteries and 8 extra atomizers later I wish I would have started with the eGo for me and my gal.

We did the normal progression. Started off with a white starter kit with red LED to simulate a real cigarette. Then moved onto a black automatic with a blue LED and my girl a purple manual and a purple LED. Realized we actually liked having an e-cig that was different than a regular cig. Smoking sucks anyways, so it's nice to stand out from the smokers!

After a couple extra automatics, I realized I like the manuals more and grabbed a few more manuals.

Now we've amassed 6 manual and 3 automatic 510's and 4 PCC 's and we're looking for a longer lasting battery and larger cartridges.

Would have saved a lot of money if we started with the Mega eGo's!

I suggest any new members that have never used an e-cig to maybe try a single 510 starter kit, see if it's for you (you undoubtely will ) and then move on to a regular eGo starter kit with mega atomizers and mega cartridges and then if you want more battery life still, move on to the mega eGo (only half inch longer). Or maybe go straight to the mega (XL) eGo (900mA) after the 510. It's only a half inch longer than the regular eGo (650mA) and should last a few hours longer.

If you've tried e-cigs and want to get started go straight for the eGo or mega eGo!

The XXL eGo (1000mA) might be getting a little big though. Apparently it is a full inch bigger than the eGo (650mA) and only lasts about an hour longer than the mega eGo. You get up to 3 hours of extra battery life from the Mega eGo compared to the regular eGo and it's only half an inch longer. For only one extra hour of battery life more than the mega eGo the XXL is an inch longer than the regular eGo. If these dimensions are correct it seems the extra size of the XXL 1000mA eGo could be getting a little too big for my taste.

I wonder why they could fit an extra 2.5-3 hours in the 900mA mega XL eGo with only half an inch, but they could only fit another hour of battery life with the extra half inch the XXL 1000mA eGo has on top of the mega eGo. If these dimensions are correct and if they used the extra space as efficiently as they did on the mega eGo (250mA per half inch) the XXL eGo would be 1150mA.

I haven't received my Mega eGo batts attys and carts yet, but I feel like I can recommend them anyway!

hi i have a question. i have been using the joye 510. So compared to the 510 how much bigger is the eGo? thanks

It's actually a @1/2" shorter than the 510. It is bigger around, but much smaller than it looks on the web. I find it fits my hand perfectly, stealth or otherwise. lol

Chem thanks for starting this discussion. I've been trying to do this reasearch myself and feel like I'm going round and round!

Lowthud thanks for all your insight! The support on this forum for the noobs is fantastic! You all have no idea how glad I am to have found this site!

Personally I think my hangup is the $$ investment. I know what I think I want - just having a hard time pulling the trigger. lol

an AA battery is almost the same dimensions as an eGo battery without the atty attached (the ego batt is a tiny bit taller but its the same circumference) - I like to comapre to something real life rather than numbers as my brain won't process it otherwise :)
The eGo was MUCH smaller than I thought it looked from pictures.

thanks. Was worried that it might be a tad bit to big but if it around the same dimensions as the AA battery then there is no worry. So im guessing the battery life is also much better. Also there is a cone or something that comes with the kit. What is that for? Thanks.

It cleans up the lines alittle, and it also tightens the draw and preheats the air before it goes into the atty.

Along with what DaveP and LowThudd (amazing help) said about preheating the air and
making the atomizer vape more efficiently than a 510, the cone cover makes the eGo look a lot nicer when using 510 atomizer. If you see pics of eGo batt's and 510 atty's without the cone, or atomizer cover, it looks off. It's a thick battery with a pencil thin end, so the cone atomizer cover makes it come to a point at the cartridge more gradually.

I'm glad to hear how everyone thinks the eGo is smaller than they thought. This is making me more confident to grab the Mega if it is only a bit bigger and lasts for a few hours longer. At 6.5 hours for a regular eGo and 9 hours for a mega eGo, the half inch of extra length is neglible.

Personally I would say grab a few mega atomizers and mega cartridges to go with it. No need for the cone, because the mega atty's are the same diameter as the eGo.

Of course this does add up the price, but you can sanitize the cartridges and reuse them and if you keep good care of the atomizers they seem to last long, so a small investment to have a nice sized atomizer with cartridges with a huge e-juice reservoir. 2.5 ml is pretty damn impressive.

Once you are set up the price is pretty cheap, so I think it's a small price to pay to not have to worry about upgrading. I'm regretting stocking up on so much 510 hardware but the eGo is 510 compatable so I can use the atty's and the cone atomizer cover that comes with the starter kit if I'm in a pinch.
